He is risen, He is risen! The women repeat the words again and again. No need now for the anointing spices. The Saviour is living, and not dead. in the testimony of the women gives evidence of how low their faith had sunk. The news of Christ's resurrection was so different from what they had anticipated that they could not believe it. It was too good to be true, they thought. They had heard so much of the doctrines and the so-called scientific theories of the Sadducees that the impression made on their minds in regard to the resurrection was vague. They scarcely knew what the resurrection from the dead could mean. They were unable to take in the great subject.

I ask your pardon for the many posts, but the issue needs to be seen in total context.

    It is this:

I accuse the Seventh-day Adventists for being in cahoots with Sunday-venerating Christianity --- as is undeniably clear from the two quotes from Mrs E.G. White's two statements above quoted in one of at least three books of more or less the identical content as the original, but named and regarded separate books. (Wow! What volume has she produced! they say, can only be because she was 'inspired'.)

Now I wanted to show this to Walter Veith their present-day 'prophetic guru' - call him what you like, I don't care. I entered the pertinent clauses, and got back the evasive - omitting - 'source'-references given above.

So I entered the clauses before and after these pertinent ones, and received confirmation of or for my allegations.

Now if that is not cunning conjuring, what will be?

It afterwards struck me that a few months ago, shortly before I published my book, 'Save the Sabbath' (Book 6/3 of 'The Lord's Day in the Covenant of Grace'), I have not experienced the same results with my searches from E.G. White's 'published writings'. It so happened that I FOR THE FIRST TIME brought these acclamations of Mrs White of Sunday's Christian significance for "all heaven" and "the world" under their attention in the long slumber they have been undergoing since their initial 'great disappointment'. Thanks to technology, it seems they were able to react pretty quick in order to avoid further embarrassment.

I brought it to BaptistBoard because I have no recources of my own, and I feel it is in the interest of all and especially the SDAs to be made aware of this kind of thing going on right under their own noses.

I could scarcely expect a different response from a Seventh-day Adventist.

How did the SDAs pull your chain? God can regenerate an SDA even if they are wrong in minor matters.

Believing that you will die and go to hell because you do not worship on Sat is no minor matter.

I see from your profile that you are SDA.

Why not address some of the points that he makes in a substanative way rather than simply mocking him?

I usually find GE's convoluted posts difficult to figure out. Did you get the jist of how SDAs are "to be accused of being in cahoots with Sunday-venerating Christianity"? -- and I just missed it???

If so - please go ahead and explain the details.

    in Christ,

    Bob

The Signs of the Times , May 30, 1895,

O, what a history we have in the life and death, resurrection and exaltation of Christ! He was the incarnate God, the Lord of life and glory; yet for our sakes he was delivered into the hands of wicked men. Satan and the whole confederacy of evil men and evil angels raged around him, and he suffered that which would have been insupportable to any human being. His life was one of utter self-denial and self-sacrifice, full of achievements of divine mercy, goodness, and power. Disease fled at his touch, the blind saw, the deaf heard, demons were cast out, the dead were raised. The tempest-tossed waters were stilled at his command, and as he hung upon the cross, nature gave signs that she sympathized with her dying Author. The earth reeled and heaved beneath the feet of men; the sun clothed itself in sackcloth. When the mighty angel descended from heaven, parting the darkness from his track, the Roman guard fell as dead men before the resplendent glory, and Christ in his Godhead shone forth as he burst from the tomb, and rose triumphant over death and the grave. The disciples understood, when they saw him arisen from the dead, what he meant when he said, "Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up."

    The Desire of Ages, 1898,
The night of the first day of the week had worn slowly away. The darkest hour, just before daybreak, had come. Christ was still a prisoner in His narrow tomb. The great stone was in its place; the Roman seal was unbroken; the Roman guards were keeping their watch. And there were unseen watchers. Hosts of evil angels were gathered about the place. Had it been possible, the prince of darkness with his apostate army would have kept forever sealed the tomb that held the Son of God. But a heavenly host surrounded the sepulcher. Angels that excel in strength were guarding the tomb, and waiting to welcome the Prince of life.
"And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven." Clothed with the panoply of God, this angel left the heavenly courts. The bright beams of God's glory went before him, and illuminated his pathway. "His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow: and for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men."
Now, priests and rulers, where is the power of your guard? Brave soldiers that have never been afraid of human power are now as captives taken without sword or spear. The face they look upon is not the face of mortal warrior; it is the face of the mightiest of the Lord's host. This messenger is he who fills the position from which Satan fell. It is he who on the hills of Bethlehem proclaimed Christ's birth. The earth trembles at his approach, the hosts of darkness flee, and as he rolls away the stone, heaven seems to come down to the earth. The soldiers see him removing the stone as he would a pebble, and hear him cry, Son of God, come forth; Thy Father calls Thee. They see Jesus come forth from the grave, and hear Him proclaim over the rent sepulcher, "I am the resurrection, and the life." As He comes forth in majesty and glory, the angel host bow low in adoration before the Redeemer, and welcome Him with songs of praise.
An earthquake marked the hour when Christ laid down His life, and another earthquake witnessed the moment when He took it up in triumph. He who had vanquished death and the grave came forth from the tomb with the tread of a conqueror, amid the reeling of the earth, the flashing of lightning, and the roaring of thunder. When He shall come to the earth again, He will shake "not the earth only, but also heaven." "The earth shall reel to and fro like a drunkard, and shall be removed like a cottage." "The heavens shall be rolled together as a scroll;" "the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up." But "the Lord will be the hope of His people, and the strength of the children of Israel." Heb. 12:26; Isa. 24:20; 34:4; 2 Peter 3:10; Joel 3:16.
At the death of Jesus the soldiers had beheld the earth wrapped in darkness at midday; but at the resurrection they saw the brightness of the angels illuminate the night, and heard the inhabitants of heaven singing with great joy and triumph: Thou hast vanquished Satan and the powers of darkness; Thou hast swallowed up death in victory!
Christ came forth from the tomb glorified, and the Roman guard beheld Him. Their eyes were riveted upon the face of Him whom they had so recently mocked and derided. In this glorified Being they beheld the prisoner whom they had seen in the judgment hall, the one for whom they had plaited a crown of thorns. This was the One who had stood unresisting before Pilate and Herod, His form lacerated by the cruel scourge. This was He who had been nailed to the cross, at whom the priests and rulers, full of self-satisfaction, had wagged their heads, saying, "He saved others; Himself He cannot save." Matt. 27:42. This was He who had been laid in Joseph's new tomb. The decree of heaven had loosed the captive. Mountains piled upon mountains over His sepulcher could not have prevented Him from coming forth. . . .
When the voice of the mighty angel was heard at Christ's tomb, saying, Thy Father calls Thee, the Saviour came forth from the grave by the life that was in Himself. Now was proved the truth of His words, "I lay down My life, that I might take it again. . . . I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again." Now was fulfilled the prophecy He had spoken to the priests and rulers, "Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up." John 10:17, 18; 2:19.
Over the rent sepulcher of Joseph, Christ had proclaimed in triumph, "I am the resurrection, and the life." These words could be spoken only by the Deity. All created beings live by the will and power of God. They are dependent recipients of the life of God. From the highest seraph to the humblest animate being, all are replenished from the Source of life. Only He who is one with God could say, I have power to lay down My life, and I have power to take it again. In His divinity, Christ possessed the power to break the bonds of death.

    The Christian's Hope Manuscript 110, 1901

After the Saviour was placed in the sepulcher of Joseph, a great stone was rolled before it and sealed. While Roman soldiers who had been commanded to guard the tomb stood at their post of duty, lo, a mighty angel, commissioned to roll back the stone from the sepulcher, came in bright, heavenly glory, parting the darkness from his track. The astonished guard saw him roll back the stone as easily as if it had been a pebble. The glorious light caused them to fall as dead men to the earth, but they were sensible enough of what was occurring to see that Christ rose from the tomb.

Just as Mrs White is being corrupted this very day of today by her publishers, was she corrupted during her lifetime. Not that I say she was infallibly ‘inspired’ at any stage of her ‘ministry’ – on the contrary! But that her church, the Seventh-day Adventist church organisation or its men in positions of power, manipulate what she had written and while she lived manipulated what she then had written, is as clear as daylight.

It is a corrupt church and a corrupt prophet. And they together corrupted the Sabbath-truth of the New Testament. I say the devil won the day; but his day has come, and theirs.
