How long do we wait?

    We invited our neighbors to dinner today. The agreed time was 2 pm. It is now 215 pm. How long should we wait until we start eating?

    If they are your only guests, I'd say to give them a call to be sure they are coming. If I'm having someone at 2PM, I don't plan on lunch being until 2:30 to give them time to get here. If I was eating at 2, I'd say something like "We'll eat at 2 so why don't you get here at 1:30 or 1:45." That way they know when to get there and when we're going to eat.

    So I'd give them a buzz.

    They live downstairs (2 apt bldg). and they are not at home. And yes, they are the only ones comming

    Mrs Salty is hungry, so I must go - we are eating!!

    We ate at 2:50.
    The neighbors got home at about 345

    and now we are full!!

    Did you say they lived upstairs from you? Smells do rise you know. Maybe they don't like garlic and were too polite to tell you.............:thumbs:
