President Obama on Monday rejected a claim that stopping health care reform could mark his "Waterloo," accusing his critics of peddling the "politics of delay and defeat" in an effort to preserve the status quo.*
Without mentioning the senator by name, the president recounted South Carolina Republican Sen. Jim DeMint's recent comment that derailing his health care overhaul would be like Napoleon's most famous defeat.*
"Think about that," Obama said. "This isn't about me. This isn't about politics. This is about a health care system that is breaking America's families. ... We can't afford the politics of delay and defeat when it comes to health care -- not this time, not now."

My Senator Jim Demint is correct. Unless the little dictator gets his medical bill passed before Congress goes home and get an earfull his attempt to socialize medicine is dead.

I wonder if he sticks his left hand in his jacket when amone.

Delay and defeat is exactly what is needed and most honorable with regards to this potential nightmare.

In other words, we cannot afford a Constitutional process, a free press and an informed public.

Indeed, three stakes in the heart of a Socialist vampire.

Nope the libbies want to by pass the constitution on very thing so much so they laugh at the notion of even reading a bill before they vote on it. The height of corruption.

No! You are wrong! It is people like you..... who label any opposition as 'christian' who have the spirit of destruction and deceit.

As for the church.... Jesus is victorious.

As for the politics..... those who know the times know we can not stop prophecy..... but as long as Christ gives us strength, we can do what we can to stop the evil forces in this world which are working to enslave all people.

Only folks dependant and trusting in man will be enslaved. Those who Christ has freed are free indeed.... whether or not your one world, government provides all things to all people win.

And you remind me of another poster who used to make similar comments: Are you really new here or have you been banned recently? ......Just wondering.

altide, you accuse "far right Chrisitans" of mixing poliitcs. Yet, where are you posting right now? And, your posts have done nothing but to demonstrate that you are a poster child for the democratic party. Remember, when you point your finger at someone, you have three more pointing right back at you.

    AMEN and AMEN!!!!

The liberal view seems to be that if society will just follow their "anointed" leading, we'll create a UTOPIA in the near future. IOW, mankind is getting better & better as time marches on so there's no need for Christ to return to defeat satan to cleanse this old orb.

One of these days, they will have the opportunity to truly test their theories, cuz a lot of us old conservatives will not be here to keep throwing monkey wrenches in their plans.

    Alatide...

I see a disturbing trend. Less than 100 posts here, and you are already using extremely strident and grace-less speech.

This subject has nothing to do with "far-right" people. It is about the overreaching arm of the nanny state, and fiscal responsibility.

Furthermore, since Jesus Himself said the gates of Hell cannot stand against His church...I doubt He's much worried about people with whose politics you disagree. Check your Scriptures before posting.

So if I stand on my convictions that we are not to take innocent life and yet the government takes my money to fund abortions and I do not voice descent? I would be the biggest hypocrite this side of Judas. Mixing my faith to stand on principle is every Christian's calling.

To stand against a program that is going to put millions out of work is not mixing "religion" with politics!! It is applying everyday common sense. Something that the leftist christian is void of.

They are not only going to take your money to slaughter the unborn they are going to take your money and then ration medical care, particularly for the elderly and infirm. Furthermore, they are going to counsel those over 65 periodically; can you guess why?
