Okay, I'm trying to post a poll. Not sure how to do this with the "advanced, more user friendly format."

    (Looks like I was successful.)

    I voted Satan/demons.

1Pe 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

Eph 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high [places].

My vote is Pride. I would think that would be considered myself. Pride will allow Satan many avenues for temptations.

I tend to believe (at least for most American Christians) that the world and the flesh keep us so entangled that the devil and his minions seldom if ever have to mess with us.

All sin and entanglement with it originates from Satan. He is a liar and the father of lies. He comes to kill, steal and destroy. We fight a spiritual battle everyday and this battle was started by Satan in the garden. We are responsible for our own weakness and sin, but it originates with the devil.

When you say "the world and the flesh", that is Satan's domain. He is king of it.

As Paul said, don't we war with the flesh daily? Are we not still in the flesh? Until we receive our Heavenly body we have an enemy that makes war with our spirit and that is ourselves.

I voted for me...because I am my own worst enemy.

The lust of flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life all start with me.

    Good poll :D

I think our sin nature is our worst enemy. Our greatest friend is the Lord, as His Holy Spirit guides us away from our sin. Outside ourselves, our greatest enemy is those who walk among us who say they are Christians and live like Pharisees.

Aaron, I have noticed that the new software does not give you much option with polls either.

However, you did an excellent job with this poll.
    Very good question.

I for one voted that I am my own worst enemy.

Our hearts are deceitful and wicked beyond our own comprehension.

The Christian's worst enemy is the law of sin that dwells in his members. Satan is certainly an enemy, but Christians have been delivered from the power of Satan—more than that, have been given authority over Him in the name of Jesus. Death and the Grave have been robbed of their potency too. (I didn't have Death as an option because I thought of it too late.)

Ungodly rulers are God's enemies, and are certainly enemies of the church, but they aren't the worst enemy. In fact persecution has a cleansing effect on true believers. (Fasten your seatbelts, American believers. Like Ursurper Obama promised, you ain't seen nuthin' yet.)

The Christian has many enemies in the world, and they must be withstood, but his worst enemy, the one that is his utimate ruin, is the sin that dwells in his members. Every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.

The Bible speaks of the Flesh, the World, and the Devil as enemies of the Christian. All 3 are against us and are listed as our enemies in Ephesians 2:1-3.

Most Christians never ever are directly opposed by Satan. He doesn't need to. They never get victory over the flesh and the world. In Corinthians, Paul shows how first he dealt with all 3 of them from the "thorn in the flesh" to the "messenger of Satan" that buffetted him.

For most Christians to think that Satan is interested in fighting them personally, is somewhat prideful. He is not omnipresent and is probably more engaged in fighting some unknown, humble prayer warrior in China or Africa than any of the lukewarm Christians of North America. The devil isn't stupid. He focuses his attacks on those who are doing him the most harm.

I believe that the Chrsitian's worst enemy is the Athiest. Maybe that would be Ungodly Rulers? I don't know. Athiests have always tried to make everyone (especially Christians) miserable. They always seem to be trying to eliminate God from every aspect of our lives. The Athiest has nothing to live for, nothing to die for, & nothing to gain. At least Muslims believe in something.
