I gotta be honest...even the Obama apologists are starting to drift away from these threads. If one is intellectually honest, it becomes about impossible to defend such a horrible, fascist plan.

You're right....Obama is not being honest. And as bad as I hated the c(r)ap and trade...this is the worst bill to be brought up in my adult life.

Ditto. The man is a liar, and a murderer (infanticide/pro-abortion). And euthanasia, too (end of life counseling).

The boogie man is coming!:laugh::laugh:

I believe government run health care may be the best option after all, what we have now is ineffective.

I have posted fact after fact.

You respond with, "government-run is best...what we have now isn't."

I give facts. You give opinion. (and just one, at that...your own).

Preponderence of evidence weighs heavily in my favor.

Haven't you heard the latest White House explanation - for everything apparently: "The president's rhetoric shouldn't be taken literally."

Reasons why health care is ineffective:

ridiculous law suits = extremely high insurance rates

Dr makes tests that really aren't needed - but he must do so to cover his 6.

    Excessive regulations and paperwork

    just to name a few.

Do we have some quacks and others professionals who abuse the system, of course - but lets deal with each problem in its on situation

A lot of people going to lose insurance jobs.

How can what we have now be considered ineffective when we can see governement run health care in other countries and see it's a total failure, people not getting to see doctors when they need it, not getting needed medications, needed procedures. And the fact he'd rather kill seniors then pay for health care.
    Oh yeah, big improvement.

Well maybe your health care is ineffective, so switch doctors. My health care is just fine and quite effective, thank you.

And, like you said, you "believe." Your opinion would seem to be in the minority, not only here, but among the vast majority of Americans, 85% of which are entirely happy with their health care.

Single payer is NOT an option in the health care legislation. Personally, from my experience with with insurance companies continually increasing prices to the consumer and reducing benefits enforced by clerks however, I'd like to see them get a real scare to prompt them from continually reducing the quality of health care in America. I've seen doctors quit practicing because of insurance company malfeasance. Something needs to be done to reel them in.

As to your personal experience - switch companies. That one of the benefits of a market system.

I have had the same insurance - Blue Cross Blue Shield - for many years and am very happy with it. I have not seen any reduction in quality.

Why do you wish to deprive others of what works for them in order to make a change that you could accomplish with a single phone call without involving a single taxpayer dollar?

Which doctors have you "seen quit because of insurance company malfeasance"? It sounds like you are blowing smoke here. Do you have any names or other documentation?

You like to ask others for proof - even though you are unwilling to acknowledge it when you get it. How about offering up a little proof of your own?

I think most doctors would rather work for an insurance company than for the government any day of the week.

You can leave a bad insurance company. There are other options.

    Not so for the government.

You have illustrated many times over your disregard for the facts.

Your opinion carries no weight because of it.

You are out of touch with reality, as usual. Your anecdotes are just that , anecdotes. Or stories if you will. Many of them undoubtedly fiction.
