Here's a bill introduced into the house by a Democrat:

If you find any other news about the "end-of-life Obamacare" please post links on this thread. Thanks. LE

    huh???

I don't get it... A lot of people who are in nursing homes need better care.
    How does this =depopulation?

I agree, we should be providing better end of life care to our elderly.. instead a lot are stuck with only what they can afford, after they sale everything they have worked for all their lives...

Have you read the House bill?

There have been several threads about the end-of-life counseling. Here's one:

So tell us just what are the details that make it spin and what truth is there about this subject?

It is fun to see so many people act so foolish over speculation and hyperbole. It's like these republican thugs at the town hall meetings.

It is this mentality and behavior that will end Obama's Presidency. Citizens who are speaking out against this admin are not thugs. And if the only defense you have is to demonize citizen opposition in this manner then that means you have lost.

It was not so long ago that dissent was patriotic. Now when the shoe is on the other foot it is thuggary. But what this actually is is intellectual dishonesty and anti-American. That is what you are.

So you have no objection to the government requiring end-of-life counseling every 5 years starting at age 60? You have no objection to government insertion into discussions between you and your physician? The mandatory end-of-life counseling is part of the Obamacare plan approved by the House.

What if the government determines (as it looks to be the case) that people over 60 will cost the government too much money (not cost effective) and therefore refuses to pay for your treatment for any accidents, diseases, procedures, or care your doctor believes you should have? That is okay with you? What if it's your parents or grandparents - that is okay, too?

There is nothing "spin" going on here except for the government "spin" and the any fearmongering as you call it are genuine concerns of America's seniors and the huge population of baby boomers who are about to overwhelm the already overwhelmed Medicare system that our government runs. What the government is advocating either directly or indirectly is medical murder = depopulation. But that is okay with you?

So will you be taking the "painkiller" MP (and Robert Snow) or maybe there won't be enough "painkillers" to go around and then what? The syringe with the lethal cocktail? If that's how Obamanites want to check out, fine, but it's not fine with me or millions of your fellow Americans. Millions of Americans who have legitimate concerns over a "not transparent" government plan which Congress and the President haven't read, who don't know what's in the bill and don't understand how healthcare in this country works (pediatricians yanking out tonsils for money, per Obama) are not guilty of hyperpole and acting like republican thugs. The concerns come from across the whole spectrum, including some democrats and libertarians and independents. Just folks.

They want to end these people lives, counsel and encourage them into suicide, or as we've read, withhold medicines so they die anyway.
It sickens me to see there are actually christians who support this murder, playing God, decideing whose valuable and whose not.

Anyone can make unsubstantiated predictions. Show me, please, anywhere President Obama has said he wants to "encourage them into suicide."

If you cannot do this, you should retract your statement lest you are found guilty of lying.

I had relatives at one of these meetings.

I take personal offense to your calling their exercising of constitutional rights "thuggery."

    What a disgusting comment.

First you need to show where donnaA said "President Obama has said he wants to encourage them into suicide."

If you cannot do this, you should retract your accusation lest you are found guilty of lying.

Part of the context of the Senators bill is that he comes from OR where assisted suicide is legal and he I think is a strong supporter of same.

I, obviously, was not talking about every person at the meetings. I don't know anything about whether or not any relative of your's was involved. If I had accused them by name, you would have a concern.

Apparently MP and RS can't read.. In the quote that RS quoted Donna.. no where is Obama's name mentioned!.. she said "they"...

She could mean the government, democrats, socialists, idiots, liberals.. .etc..

Of course since Obama fits into all those categories, I can see that it wouldn't take a real leap to think she meant Obama.

Again, I don't see "Obama said" anywhere in his quote from donnaA.

    You surprise me here MP.

Your reading comprehension is usually better than this.
