Public approval ratings of Barack Obama may be falling quickly right now—but his rating of the American public is probably falling even faster.

The president won a decisive victory in November promising to rescue the ailing American economy through public spending, and to reform the health system with government at the core. He has certainly succeeded in spending money. The Congressional Budget Office now estimates that the national debt will balloon to $17.1 trillion by 2019. And he is trying valiantly to deliver on his second promise. Between keeping his promises and the signs of an improving economy, Mr. Obama has every reason to think his approval ratings should be flying high.

Instead, Gallup reports that disapproval of the president's economic policies has grown to 49% in July from 30% in February. Even among the president's core supporters, young people in the 18-29 age group, his overall approval has dropped 11 points since January.........

.............Blaming a cabal of conspirators—a time-honored technique for leaders on the wrong side of public opinion—is paranoid and self-defeating. More importantly, it betrays a tin ear to the culture of most Americans—an independent, optimistic culture that is mistrustful of government nannying and intolerant of policies that mortgage our future.

Consider the evidence. Despite the vote in November, it is clear that when Americans are not in an abject panic, we dislike government fiscal promiscuity. The president's sinking approval ratings are due precisely to his administration's free-spending ways. In a July 2009 Gallup poll, the No. 1 reason for disapproval of the president's economic policies was, literally, "spending too much." In second place was the worry that the president is "leading the nation toward socialism" through government takeovers and bailouts.

I will admit, the oppositions message is penetrating deeply. I saw another poll where most American's believe the death panel rumor and a lot of seniors believe the government wants to kill granny to save money on health care.

I think it's a shame when the devils tools (lies) propers in generating an evil emotion (fear) but I am a strong believer that Good will always triumph over evil in the end.

The main reason that his approval rating are dropping is because people are fed up. There's a certain point in time when a president is in his transition stage. That's normally the first few months. After that, when he makes new laws, enacts certain legislation, or passes a bill that costs our country billions of dollars, he has to take responsibility for those actions. Sometimes, it takes a year or two to see the effect a new president has on our nation.

By the time a president runs for re-election they sometimes reap the benefits or negative effects from the previous president. A prime example of this was when Ronald Reagan was in his second term, he increased military spending to compete with the Soviet Union. This caused the Soviet regime to go bankrupt, which casued a coup after George H.W. Bush became president. The fall of the Soviet Union happened during Bush 41's term in office, but proper credit goes to Ronald Reagan for increasing arms production, which the Communist Party in Russia to collapse overtime.

I will say that even though Obama's ratings have been rapidly dropping, they still aren't as low as Bush's ratings were. But again, I'm not concerned with approval ratings. Approval ratings doesn't get him out of office any quicker. I'd like to know who comes up with these approval ratings. I have never once been asked by the media or any statician about what kind of job I think the president is doing.

Doesn't matter who is elected president, nothing will change.

For example, the only thing we know for sure about health care change is that after the smoke settles, the people who are making over $10 million will still be making over $10 million and those who are making over $1 million will still be making over $1 million.

A lot of Dr.'s believe it too. My grandfather (almost 90) is going in for surgery tomorrow. Not knowing my grandfather's political position (he's a democrat), the Dr. told my grandfather if Obama gets his way, my grandfather would be unable to have the surgery.

How hard is it for Americans to see that the elderly will be last on the list under this government plan? You've got solid proof of that with the H1N1 vaccine. Who last in line for that? You got it, the elderly. I mean, they lived a long life, they are almost dead anyway, who cares - right? What makes you believe that it will be any different when government takes over health care.

Here's another thing too. I have yet to see the government run anything with any kind of efficiency.

Agreed. The C.A.R.S. program is a fine example.

IMO, what the low approval rating show for both of the clowns is that the American people are starting to realize that switching from party to party as they exist now solves nothing, as they are both basically the same set of thieves. When Americans get tired enough of the facade of a difference between the two, they will do something about it, and elect people who will read the Constitution.

The elderly are squarely in the sights Of Obamacare. They will be hurt first and worst.

That is how and where the rationing will begin.

    Immediately.
