So I'm sure pushing this particular political agenda won't affect IRS exemption status...

    How convenient....

Liberals/socialists have been pulling this stuff for years. If a Conservative tried it the ACLU and socialist/heathen media would have the gallows ready to hang him on.

Our church leadership has a staunch rule against preaching politics from the pulpit. Doesn't matter what the political topic is.

It is a grave mistake to endorse a particular candidate or party as a Pastor or a church. Tomorrow either one could fail you and you would then be a bad witness. But since political issues are moral issues they should all be preached.

As long as "politics" is limited to "party machinations" I'd agree.

Too much has been declared off-limits by those outside the church, and pulpits remain mute on topics and issues that must be addressed, as the Word addresses them.

To me that sounds a lot like the government trying to get involved in our church. I always hear people complaining about judges hanging the Ten Commandments in a courtroom, but they'll never complain about the government telling churches asking (or that they have) to push healthcare.

I'm sure that one day the federal government will start running our churches. When this happens, we'll be in trouble.

And preachers everywhere call on Obama to support a ban on abortions in this country.

apparently the board liberals don't care if now preachers are being told what to preach instead of preaching God's message.
