I wonder how many votes Wilson lost for the Republicans last night? I do not know if Robinson's premise is correct. If it was Wilson handed Obama a huge victory. Wilson made the Republicans look very bad.

Oh, perhaps Wilson is a closet Democrat and wanted to make the GOP look bad. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Lost votes? In the long run, probably none. American voters are a fickle bunch. This is evidenced by the fact that they complain about their elected officials, but typically end up reelecting the same people over and over again.

So far Wilson has issued no statement proving his accusation. It is time for him to put up or be quiet until he has some facts to back him up. Seems he has none!

And you also have not provided any information, other than your opinion. So you also should either put up or be quiet until you have some facts to back up your far left ........... oops, right field opinions.

Why do you need Joe Wilson to prove that Obama is lying about the health care scam and illegal immigrants?

There have been stories all day on the news - both cable and radio - explaining that the health care scam doesn't keep illegals out of the system. In fact Congress had two chances to include verbage in the bill to specifically exclude illegals and the Dems voted it down both times.

Such a claim against any president is a serious charge. A person, especially a Congressman, making such a charge should have something at hand to prove his charge. It is Wilson's to prove. He made the charge. Again, he should either put up or shut up.

    http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2009/09/10/house-democrats-consider-punishing-wilson-outburst/

House Minority Leader John Boehner said Thursday that, according to a Congressional Research Service report, illegal immigrants would indeed be covered, defending Wilson's assertion even though he called the manner in which he delivered it "inappropriate."

Obamacare won't cover illegal immigrants? Yes it will, says Congressional Research Service

Among the many claims being made durng the August recess by Democrats from President Obama,*Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-NV, and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-CA, to the lowliest back-bencher is that Obamacare absolutely, positively, cannot possibly ever in a million, zillion years provide coverage to illegal immigrants.

Just this past weekend during his regular Saturday address - devoted to addressing what he called "false claims about reform" -* Obama said he wants "an honest debate"*on health care reform, "not one dominated by willful misrepresentations and outright distortions."

In what he called the "first myth" being spread by critics of his proposal for a government-run health care system, Obama said they are*wrong in claiming illegal*immigrants will be covered: "That is not true. Illegal immigrants would not be covered. That idea has not even been on the table." Obama said.

Well, Mr. President, that idea must have been tucked under a stack of background briefing papers over there in the corner of the table because the Congressional Research Service (CRS) says this about H.R. 3200, the Obamacare bill approved just before the recess by the House Energy and Commerce Committee chaired by Rep. Henry Waxman, D-CA:

"Under H.R. 3200, a 'Health Insurance Exchange' would begin operation in 2013 and would offer private plans alongside a public option…H.R. 3200 does not contain any restrictions on noncitzens—whether legally or illegally present, or in the United States temporarily or permanently—participating in the Exchange."
    *
CRS also notes that the bill has no provision for*requiring those seeking coverage or services to provided proof of citizenship. So, absent some major amendments to the legislation and a credible, concrete enforcement effort in action, looks like the myth on this issue is*the one being spread by Obama, Reid, Pelosi, et. al.

Come on now, OldRegular. Crabby won't accept anything less than Joe Wilson stating the obvious proof which is already abundantly and easily available through any of a number of public communication mediums.

Crabby is hanging his hat on Joe Wilson making the statement of proof just so that he can deliberately reject every other proof.

It is a time tested old curmudgeon tactic that he likes to employ.

Uhhhh.... did you read post 7 in this very thread?

You could start there for one.

Besides as I have said to you twice now, it's abundantly available on cable TV, the radio, the internet. Don't be so lazy.

Try telling the truth for a change rather than repeating the party line.

'tis a painfully small mind that would support a plan of unbridled socialism based on two impromptu words uttered by one senator.

Hope the point isn't too pointy...but you know what they say...if the shoe fits, eat it. (or something like that)

When someone makes a statement like "the obvious proof" I immediately discount the point. If it's so "obvious" why can't you state it?

Anyone who is so petty that this would influence them at voting time should take a civics class. We should vote on issues.
