Was Nikita Khrushchev Right?

Well, I think the root of the problem is shown in this statement. Socialism is based on atheistic, humanist, evolutionist beliefs.

The problem with the U.S.A. today is that we have gotten away from Christianity. I remember when I was a boy that almost all businesses were closed on Sunday and that even television programming was far more family oriented on Sunday. Anybody remember Davy and Goliath?

The educational system has always been the primary focus of socialists, and where they have seen great success. Today, young people are indoctrinated with many socialist and atheistic beliefs from kindergarten up. These kids are completely unaware and many cannot think independently.

This is why the heavy support for Obama was shocking to many of us who are older, more conservative, and religious thought based. We see that Obama and his supporters are openly socialists, and cannot believe that people would support him. But these people, especially young people have been indoctrinated to believe socialism is truly superior to capitalism.

When I was a boy, my father said something to me that has always stuck with me. He said, "the most difficult thing to understand is how other people think differently than you do." I did not understand what he meant then, but I do now.

 

I can still remember seeing Khrushchev pounding the shoe on the table at the UN. On one of the visits to the old Soviet Union, in the 50s, one of the staffers accompanying either Eisenhower or Nixon showed Khrushchev a lewd picture from one of our magazines. Khrushchev commented to the staffer that this is exactly what was going to destroy America. So, yes, I think he was right. It is just we outlasted the Soviet Union.

 

No, Afghanistan buried the USSR and will bury the USA. Those people love killing and don't care who they kill. No country has ever successfully invaded Afghanistan. For that matter, it has been a long time since any country has successfully invaded Russia. The USA only makes strategic withdrawals . . . Panama, Philippeans . . . .

 

Actually the USSR brought itself down OR. Reagan only hurried the inevitable by getting them into an arms race they couldn't afford. Old russian proverb, "the fish rots from the head" this is more or less what happens to all empires. They start to believe they are invincible, hubris sets in, they overextend themselves by getting involved in wars and nation building they cannot afford, corruption spreads and the lust for power and control drive the political elite to either madness or stupidity or both.

Massive looting of the treasury takes place and totalitarianism raises it's ugly head as the people begin to wake up to the crimes of the political and financial elite in order to control or destroy opposition to the elite's rule.

 

To anyone who has read just a little history, they can see this is a true saying.

This has causes more wars to over throw governments than anything I know of.

OK! SDI bankrupted the USSR, didn't matter it it worked or not.

Osama, being an engineer and thinking like an engineer, engineered the cheapest, fastest, least bloody and most efficient world war in the history of the world. In two hours and a couple of thousand lives he put the US on the road to economic and moral ruin. He paralyzed our economy and put us in fear of anyone with a rag around their head. He cost us a third of our retirement savings.

Could Krushchev done anything to make us take off our shoes every time we go into an airport? Osama should get the Peace Prize for his quick and efficient war.

 

You like quick and efficient? If I had been President on 9/11 I would have opened that special suitcase and pushed the button. The Middle East would be one huge glass parking lot without losing a single soldier of our own.

Good thing I am not President, but I know quick and efficient.

 

Reagan did okay OR. I ain't trying to take anything away from him. All I'm saying is that if Reagan had done nothing the USSR would fell of it's own accord. It was rotting from within before Reagan came on the scene.

Besides OR, the communists just moved from Moscow to NYC. You can find them in UN building every day of the week.

I wouldn't be so bold as to think I could foretell our future but fortunately for us there have been others who have, Thomas Jefferson and Samuel Adams both told us how our republic would end. How did they know. They studied history.

We'll we pay them any head? Not from the looks of it. We're to busy arguing about which group of deceitful and designing men are best suited to run the country to pay any mind at all to their warnings.
