With Obama so fond of TelePrompTers, and so eloquent in the art of public persuasion, the only question is: Can he flap his lips long enough, and fast enough to keep us safe from future terror attacks???

And while there is nothing wrong with having a POTUS that has a great command of the English language, I find his words to be no less subversive and divisive when it comes to being an American. I was so embarrassed as I listened to him "cave" into the most notorious leaders of this world at the UN yesterday. He has truly "Mastered the art of kissing up" to the most dangerous leaders of the terrorist kind while speaking at the UN General Council yesterday.

So far he has managed to apologize to the world for 200 plus years of past US actions; pushed the Israeli's under the bus; and given the "wink" to Russia to regain control of their lost Eastern Block countries, including Georgia.

His weakness on foreign policy was evident during the campaign, and it was further noted as Castro and Qaddafi spoke highly of his of leadership yesterday at the UN. An international "love-fest" between those three sprung forth on the second day of Autumn. How interesting was that???

The man we call the POTUS is in truth, the weakest, mealy mouthed human to ever sit in the White House Oval Office. He has effectively undone what it took more than 230 years to build up. :tonofbricks:

    God help us all!:praying:

I for one am glad we have a president again who would rather talk before starting a war. Bush was a terrible negotiator. He also drove away most of our allies.

Talk is Cheap, When it Comes to.....

Talk is cheap when it comes to the defense of this nation. He can "flap his lips" all he wants, but, if he flaps them and never takes action, than he is a weak POTUS. I, for one, see Obama as being one of the weakest POTUS to sit in the Oval Office. His inability to take action should cause you to be concerned.

As for Bush...he didn't rush into any war. In fact, it is my opinion that he let a ton of sand shift under his feet before he gave the permission to launch the attacks on Iraq. He waited so long, Saddam was able to move all the WMD's out of Iraq and into neighboring countries.

As for negotiating, Bush did an excellent job. He told the world: Attack us, and we will retaliate. That is great negotiating. Obama ought to try it, instead of the waffles he is serving out of the WH.

The decision to attack Iraq was made BEFORE 9/11. It was a central theme of the Neo-Con plan to take over America and become the supreme ruler of the world.

Well, I believe it was Bush who was president during the Russian invasion of Georgia.

You do, of course, have proof of this statement? Or are you just talking out of your can as usual?

One question. Why couldn't the strongest military power in the world scramble fighters to intercept the planes that hit the WTC and the Pentagon? The FAA, as is required, raised the alarm when the planes went off course and turned off their transponders. Flight 11 was considered to be hijacked at 8:14 AM but didn't hit the north tower of the WTC until 8:46 AM. At 8:43 NORAD was notified that flight 175 had been hijacked. At 9:03 it crashed into the south tower of the WTC. Flight 77 was hijacked at 8:51 AM and at 9:37 reportedly hit the Pentagon.

There were Air Force bases close enough to make the intercept of these planes on 9/11. McGuire AFB is about 50 miles outside NYC and Andrews is about 11 miles from the Pentagon but nothing was done that came close to protecting our two most important cities. This wasn't some kind of speciality mission that the Air Force wasn't familiar with. In 2001 before 9/11, the Air Force successfully made 69 such intercepts, Why did these most important ones fail?

Beside the 7 Air Station on full alert covering the continental United States, here are 28 more Air stations that could have done something -- if they were left to do their job.

The following happened on September 11, 2001; At 10:01 a.m. the FAA ordered the 180th Fighter Wing out of Swanton, Ohio to scramble their F-16 fighters. Although the base has no fighters on stand-by alert status, it manages to put fighters in the air 16 minutes later, a "phenomenal" response time - but still 11 minutes after the last hijacked plane has crashed.

One interesting aspect is that NORAD has explained that it didn't scramble fighters from bases nearer to the hijacked planes because they only used bases in the NORAD defensive network. Yet the 180th Fighter Wing out of Swanton, Ohio wasn't part of that network, so why weren't planes at other bases scrambled at 8:20 or 8:40 or 8:43 or 8:46:26 or 9:02:54 or 9:24 or at the very least at 9:37?

Maybe some of these Air station could have managed to get fighters up just as fast as the 180th Fighter Wing. Why weren't they? Stand Down.

Andrews AFB 11 miles SE of Washington D.C.
Bolling AFB 3 miles south of US Capitol
    Dover AFB Dover, DE
Hanscom AFB 17 miles northwest of Boston, MA
McGuire AFB 18 miles southeast of Trenton, NJ
    Wright-Patterson AFB Dayton, OH
    Cape Cod, MA AFS
    New Boston, NH AFS
Air National Guard and Air Force Reserve Bases
Atlantic City Airport, NJ 10 miles west of Atlantic City
Barnes Municipal Airport, MA 3 miles northwest of Westfield
Bradley International Airport, CN Windsor Locks
Byrd Field, VA 4 miles southeast of Richmond
Eastern West Virginia Regional Airport 4 miles south of Martinsburg
Frances S. Gabreski Airport, NY Westhampton Beach
Greater Pittsburgh International Airport, PA 15 miles nw of Pittsburgh
Harrisburg International Airport, PA 10 miles east of Harrisburg
Martin State Airport, MD 8 miles east of Baltimore
New Castle County Airport, DE 5 miles south of Wilmington
    Pease ANGS, NH Portsmouth
    Quonset State Airport, RI Providence
    Rickenbacker ANGB, OH Columbus, Oh
Stewart International Airport, NY Newburgh, NY
    Toledo Express Airport, Swanton, Ohio
Westover ARB, MA 5 miles northeast of Chicopee
Willow Grove Naval Air Station, PA 14 miles north of Philadelphia
Yeager Airport, WVA 4 miles northeast of Charleston
Youngstown-Warren Regional Airport ARS, OH 16 miles north of Youngstown

Also, there is an Air Defense Intercept Zone just off shore for the entire Atlantic Coast. This zone is constantly being patrolled. In general fast movers would not need to be scrambled. They can be diverted from routine patrol and training flights for the intercept. The odds are that on a beautiful blue morning in September many flights would be on patrol just off shore. It would be most improbable that even one commercial flight could go more than fifteen minutes without being intercepted.

So you believe that we should immediately declare war on every other country on earth? I mean like Adolph HITLER. That's already been tried by the Neo-CONs.

Your telling lies is nothing unusual. But to indicate that our country and its leaders planned and carry out attacks against its own people...

I'll be as nice as I can: If you sincerely believe this, then I find you to be monumentally ignorant at the least...and disgustingly despicable at the worst. Shame on you.

One who would assert that our leaders intentionally bombed our own people and murdered thousands...that person has no love for their country, and should do the USA a favor and get out.

Oh, here we go...the "conservatives are like hitler" argument.

Thanks for a glimpse into your level of maturity.

You won't find me defending quite a bit of Bush's actions. But Bush's stumbles don't improve Obama's performance one whit.

Sorry...I've just got to say it again: JustChristian/Freedom/Alatide/Whateverothersockpuppet's assertion that George Bush murdered 3,000+ citizens and carried out the 9/11 attacks...that's among the most disgusting pile of garbage I've ever seen posted on this board. It shows the level of hatred in this guy's heart...and speaks volumes about him: that he would be willing to make some of the most slanderous, vile, and ridiculous charges possible...all for the sake of feeding his intense hatred for a former president.

Sick. Ignorant. Disgusting. UnChristlike. Kooky. Sad.

    Words fail me.

But something seems to be missing. He's not charged with any crimes related to 9/11. Why? Why does anyone not get charged with a crime? Because there's no evidence. We've invaded two countries to go after a guy we can't even indict for a crime.

Keep posting this garbage, JustChristian...we'll keep shaking our heads and wondering about your sanity.

But you seriously need to deal with your hate issues. When you hate someone so badly that you're willing to break from reality, slander them, and turn your back on your country...you have a problem. Seriously.

I love my country. I hate the traitors that did this. If you refuse to investigate proof of this treason because of your Republican affiliation then you are the traitor.

If you have the evidence to refute the truth go to this web site":

    http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-8172271955308136871#docid=8797525979024486145

They're offering $1,000 if you can refute any fact presented there. Put up or shut up.
