The House democrat leaders take 2000 pages to camouflage the government takeover of medical care in this country. With that takeover we get rationing of medical care for all, taxpayer funding of abortions, and the death sentence for the seriously ill and the elderly. Dr. Death where are you?

Do you think that any of them are going to read it before voting in favor of it?

The bill will be just as bad if they read it before voting for it as it will be if they don't read it before voting on it.

The current system has problems; however, more government involvement won't fix it.

The speed reader on the Neil Cavuto show who read the bill in less than an hour said that parts of it were like those Russian dolls. For those who are not familiar the ones I have seen are made of wood and hollow. They may contain 4-5 dolls imbedded in each other.

If anyone read any of HR 3200 they would find Sections which referenced numerous other Federal statutes. That is probably the reason John Conyers said it would take two days and two lawyers to read it.

Whatever, Socialized medicine with all its ills is here unless there is a revolution from the citizens. Peaceful of course in case the Obama "civilian security force" is reading this.

I copied the following from the News Forum courtesy of somebody. This is what the speed reader meant by Russian dolls. Sounds almost like the very section he indicated. But for sure it is full of such junk. Just wait until the professional bureaucrats convert it into Federal Regulations. It may be bigger than the IRS statutes.

Who actually writes all of this nonsense since Congressmen (which is their job) not only do not write the bills, they do not read them?

I believe they are written by the professional bureaucrats. These same people were known as apparatchiks in communist Soviet Union. It is obvious that over the years the bureaucracy in DC has been taken over by leftists.

    As Trotter says:

That is pathetic. If our elected officials want to be that liberal, then they should have the backbone to write their own laws, and vote on them. We need to severely limit the amount of staff each is allowed to have. With the number of days they take off in a given year, they have plenty of time to do the work themselves. Go to ussenate.gov and click on calendar, and see how many days off a year they get.

Now, why is it our elected officials are allowing others to write a bill they do not even read? This is our connection to the government. The focus is the people writing the bills. Who are they that they trump elected officials? Who is it that is pulling the puppet strings in Congress and the White House? This is a good place to start cleaning up the mess, is rooting out whatever orgainizations are controlling the writing of the bills.

Some of those folks are back home meeting with constituents during those "days off".

I have no problem with staff writing bills. If they have to write their own it will just make lawyers all that more important in a lot of people's minds to have elected. In my opinion, we have way too many lawyers holding public office. In my opinion, we need people in office who know how to account for money. We need a lot more accountants holding public office.

I know this is not an exact quote, but I always liked what the govenor of California said in his movie, 'Red Heat'.
"In China they have no problem with drugs. They shoot drug dealers in the head."
Belushi-"That would never work here. The lawyers would never allow it."
G of C-"No problem, they hung the lawyers first."
