Just this past week we had pulled pork at a restaurant that specializes in BBQ (it was part of a big meal of a bunch of BBQ stuff including ribs), and I made cranberry pork roast and pork chops as well. Last week was a big pork week since pork has been on sale. This week we will have pork in our meatloaf (I use the mix of beef, pork and veal) and I'll cut up the last leftover pork chop to put in quesadillas for dinner.

Yes, I eat pork. I selected "feet" because there was no option for hamhock, which I cook with my pinto beans and serve with cornbread. Now there's a good hillbilly meal for you!

But the important question is do you use a fork when you eat pork products!

I love bacon but I "dissect " it. I don't eat any of the fat - just the leanest meat parts. Yeah, I know, less than half of it...what a waste...

I thought the rule was, "use a fork only when necessary!"

But you left out so many other parts of the hog... crackilns, chitterlings, fatback, tenderloin, souse meat, brains... As my grafather used to say, "The only part you don't use is the squeel and that's only because you can't catch it."

I was raised in the country. We raised, slaughtered, and butchered our own hogs.

I love ham hocks in beans. Have you ever had pickled pigs feet and hocks, you have to not mind vinegar, which I don't, and love them, but they have alot fo fat, so I don't eat them anymore.

My fingers were typing faster than my mind was spell-checking. It should have been "squeal", the sound a pig makes when you poke it... hence why my grandpa couldn't catch it. ;)

Nope. I like pickled bologna, though. Never could bring myself to eat the pigs feet, because I look at them and wonder what those feet were stepping in. . .LOL!

Hey, at least she didn't put headcheese! Haven't you ever heard of that before? Old timers used to make headcheese from the pig's head.

I'm sure you all knew this was coming - I voted no because I don't eat any meat (or fish or fowl).

I have to admit, however, that bacon is the only meat that still has some appeal for me. All other meats have lost their appeal completely.

    So I eat veggie bacon.
