    Bill,

This latest round of questions concerning the financing of the Doth degree at SAT'S has piqued a question in my mind. If you could answer it for me I would appreciate it?

How would you compare the rigor of the work done in the new SAT'S doctoral program with say your degree program or the one at UNISA?

On another issue and from my own limited experience SAT'S is much more "user friendly" than UNISA. It may very well be that the major dynamic of factor is the size of the respective schools.

    Thoughts?

    Holy Kittel, Batman!

I think this is why we need to be careful about assuming or castigating the quality of all students or studies from any one institution. I have had the same experience. I've seen non-accredited work that is quite good, and I've shared often about the "top notch" graded work from "top notch" seminaries that was shockingly poor.

I think you know that my DTh wasn't finished until I was 65 (or 64 & 11 months), so, Rhet, if you wish a PhD don't let age stop you.

    "Rhetoric Me Then" Bill

    Bill,

I greatly appreciate the encouragement. I have always found you to be a man whom I would consider to be a "Christian Gentleman" and a "Renaissance Man." It goes without saying, but I am saying it anyway, that your opinion I highly value.

Please tell me how a ThD or PhD would "help the cause" now at my age. I have wrestled with this issue for years (as you well know). Many scholars whom I could name but cannot on line, have said to me that the time I have remaining would be best spent researching and writing and publishing. The qualification they give me is that the research and publishing of some accepted works have given me the qualities and abilities that the ThD would give.

My challenge to you is, for you to argue me into it, building on what I have laid out above.

Thanks for caring. And "thank you" for your learned insights.

    "That is all!"

    Hi Rhet

    Thanks for your generous remarks.

I don't feel up to arguing you into going for another doctorate if you have no interest in doing that. I thought you did but worried about your age. That's the only reason I answered as I did.
