Exclusive: Jobs 'Saved or Created' in Congressional Districts That Don't Exist
Human Error Blamed for Crediting New Stimulus Jobs to Nonexistent Places

    By JONATHAN KARL
    Nov. 16, 2009

Here's a stimulus success story: In Arizona's 15th congressional district, 30 jobs have been saved or created with just $761,420 in federal stimulus spending. At least that's what the Web site set up by the Obama administration to track the $787 billion stimulus says.

There's one problem, though: There is no 15th congressional district in Arizona; the state has only eight districts.

They're playing a game and cooking the books.
With all the misinformation we're being fed, its a wonder that anyone expresses a confidence in this present administration.

I'm better entertained by stories of some of my friends: One suggests the monies are secretly funding the NAFTA superhighway from Mexico to Canada. Another believes it is being used to secretly buy out and consolidate the increasing bank closures. Noone I know believe any real jobs are being created.

Who is getting all this money? I have no idea. But I do believe the congress has participated with this and the previous administration to steal the money from we the people.

Once people are driven to poverty and desperation just to exist, they lose the power to defend themselves or resist any tyranny which may be devised.

    We are being fleeced!

I wonder how much of this "money" finds its way into Obama's reelection fund?

Probably none of it, because just about all of it has been quandered and has disappeared into fake jobs, or JOPO (jobs on paper only).

Or government jobs that ultimately increase the cost of government and the burden on taxpayers.

The stimulus bill was a big mistake. With that said, it should have some positive benefits as far as infrastructure improvements. However, the best way to jump start the economy would have been a tax holiday.

George Bush crammed the first stimulus bill down our throats, and Obama the second. Neither worked, because fake money and phoney growth not created by a free market only makes the situation worse in the long run.

My first thought was that the 15th CD was just a typo. Before I say more, I would like to "hear the rest of the story"

This is more than a typo...

    Other examples:

"The reporting problems are not limited to Arizona, ABC News found.

In Oklahoma, recovery.gov lists more than $19 million in spending -- and 15 jobs created -- in yet more congressional districts that don't exist.

In Iowa, it shows $10.6 million spent – and 39 jobs created -- in nonexistent districts.

In Connecticut's 42nd district (which also does not exist), the Web site claims 25 jobs created with zero stimulus dollars.

The list of spending and job creation in fictional congressional districts extends to U.S. territories as well.

$68.3 million spent and 72.2 million spent in the 1st congressional district of the U.S. Virgin Islands.

$8.4 million spent and 40.3 jobs created in the 99th congressional district of the U.S. Virgin Islands.

$1.5 million spent and .3 jobs created in the 69th district and $35 million for 142 jobs in the 99th district of the Northern Mariana Islands.

$47.7 million spent and 291 jobs created in Puerto Rico's 99th congressional district. "

Nothing has been saved anywhere and you cannot count saved jobs. It is a farce.

I guess when we hear thje governemt announce the recission is ending becasue there are X amount of new jobs we'll know it's all a lie. And theres the proof.

Biden said today, as it was reported on the radio, that there are 700 false districts on the recovery website claiming jobs. And we want to let them have our medical insurance.

And in spite of this the WH says that they knew there would be errors in the reporting of jobs created or "saved" but that the numbers are accurate.

    Huh...???

    Come again?

Maybe it's just another case of them guessing, guessing seems to be popular in the obama adminstration, and,,, oops, they so far keep guessing wrong.
Or prhaps they don't even try to hide their lies.

    errors, accurate
    errors, accurate
    humm
wonder if this would work on my taxes next year, I know theres errors, but I'm confident they are accurate, lol
and really there are people stupid enough to believe this in this country.
And we want them to manage our health care, yeah right
