A family member has left us....

    Yesterday, we lost a dear family member, our 12 year old boa constrictor. She was a low maintenance and fun pet. We will miss her, even though most visitors ran for the door when they discovered we had a snake in the house.

    Our home is now 4 feet shorter (she was about 4 feet long).

    I am sorry for your loss, truly. It's hard to lose a pet, and I hope your family will soon recover. We just lost a hamster, but ended up getting 3 more.

    But. . .I'm glad it's your loss and not mine, as I wouldn't want one to lose!:tongue3:

    No, but prayers for the family are apprecated. It's no fun dealing with the loss of pets, even if they're hamsters and snakes. We've had this pet snake for 12 years, and she was quite friendly and fun to have around. We all miss her.

    I understand. It's hard on the kids, but it's hard on us adults, too. A loss is a loss.

    I just recently got into a discussion on how difficult it is on families to lose pets and I thought of the ones we lost. Some were very emotional.
