Our church doesn't have Sunday evening services so it's not "church" time unless there's something special going on. In 2 weeks, we'll be putting on our Christmas drama so for 2 Sundays in a row, I'll be at church the entire day. But normally, we're home. Well, hubby, my two little ones and I are home - the girls work. They work at a supermarket and with school and church stuff, they can't do much to work during the week so it's mostly Saturday and Sunday that they work. But they don't work before 2PM so that they have the ability to go to church and have time to come home, grab a bite and head out.

Church every Sunday night, followed by choir practice.

Sunday nights for me equal pizza in the oven, "Sixty Minutes" on the tube, and later, if I am not too sleepy and tired from Sunday morning's exertions, the CSpan re-run of "Prime Minister's Question Time" from the House of Commons.

We do not have a Sunday night service, so I stay home and watch Amazing Race and Cold Case. If there is something good on the History Channel, I may watch that instead.

We don't have Sunday evening services either. My son has his small group, followed by the larger youth group, so I'm usually dropping off & picking up.

We have church in our village in the afternoon on Sundays. Afterward I fellowship for a while and then walk the kids home so we can prepare supper. After supper we play games or watch the Beverly Hillbillies.

It seems Sunday Night Church has almost went the way of the Dodo.
We have small group bible study when there isn't Business Meeting or Team Kid.
I'm usually headed off for the weeks journey in the Semi so I seldom get to participate.

I go to church. If the weather is nice and I have a couple of extra bucks, we come home so the kids can put on their PJ's and we take the kids and the dog to McD's for a hamburger. We call this a "pajama run" even though only the kids are wearing pajamas. The dog looks forward to it as much as the girls.

Sunday night? I'm usually trying to catch up on any episodes of "Heroes" or "Flash Forward" that I missed.

Thanks! I should add that there's a certain "speed trap" spot where cops like to sit to catch lawbreakers. If there is no police car, we'll park there with only our parking lights on and talk while the kids and dog eat their hamburgers and count how many cars hit their brakes before they pass us and realize we're not cops! This "spot" is just after a long guard rail, and at night you can only see the lights, but not the model of car parked there until you get really close.

So, we have cheap, fun entertainment!

Since our church has no services on Sunday night, this past Sunday evening we visited a friend's church. He's the contemporary worship leader at an Episcopal church. (Go figure, right?) Somewhat eclectic --- contemporary music combined with the Episcopal liturgy. Very good service though and hope to go back when we can.
