The notion that sloth and gluttony result in physiological changes in the brain is nothing new. Most routine things one does has a physiological effect on the brain.

While I'm at it, addressing what is "new" or not (according to JohnV)...sigh...the evidence here about how this works and the type of benefit is.

I have had the BLACK DOG as my companion for the last couple of months. I hate depression....it is so depressing:tongue3:...physical exercise is great when I can drag myself out for a walk...I always feel better for it but it takes some effort to plant the feet one after another.

Also drinking is a huge issue...I get very dehydrated and I do not love water....fortunately I do like weak black tea, hot and cold so try to drink one to two litres of that....which also improves my mood.

Retail therapy is good too.....I am buying a house:thumbsup:
