Does anyone have any information on the Right to Life (political) Party of New York?

Back in 2002, they lost ballot status when they received less than the required 50,000 votes for Governor.

I was just wondering if any of the Party are still active at all. I am not able to find anything on the net.

    Thanks

Never heard of them, but I hope they're not affiliated with the Right to Life organization.

    Salty,

I sent you a PM but it didn't store in my sent folder so I'm uncertain of it's delivery to you. Let me know if you got it.

    Thanks,

    Larry.

Actualy the Right to Life in NY renamed themselves "Friends for Life" to distuingished themselves from the politicial party. But at one time, many were in both organizations.

But anyways, why would it be a bad thing for the two groups to be affiliated ?

Great!!! The married couples fellowship group my wife and I belong to is called "Friends for Life". Nowe we gotta change our name too! :tonofbricks:

The National Right to Life committee's best years are, imo, behind them. They have unfortunately engaged in activities that don't bode well for their credibility, including the distribution of the film "Silent Scream" which they refuse to acknowlege is full of misrepresenatations and inaccuracies. They have also tended to inflate abortion numbers for the purpose of fundraising. They also flip-flop on whether all abortion should be opposed or only elective abortion should be opposed. OTOH, they're moved away from extremism of the past, as evidenced by the preaking away from Colorodo Right to Life, which makes the National Right to Life committee look like a liberal organization.

Don't get me wrong, NRLC isn't an evil orgainzation or anything. They're just not what they used to be. A new political party that proports an anti-abortion position should probably do better to stand on its own merits rather than coattails that are worn and in places soiled.
