First, this article was written with the pre-judgment that we should let the government take over and run our healthcare. Not exactly good journalism.

Second, anecdotal cherry-picking does not equal good research.

Third, his refutation of the "myth" that "Cost controls stifle innovation" is pure fiction, and is laughable. Of course it does. And an Obama-esque response (just lie and move on...people will never know) doesn't fly.

Fourth, his assertion that a good healthcare system can simply ignore pre-existing conditions is, to put it kindly, profoundly stupid. Try wrecking your car and then buying auto insurance. Try burning your house, then getting it insured. Doesn't work that way...and intelligent people (or intellectually honest ones) know it.

Finally, his comparison of the US to Burma is hilarious. This guy should get out more.

Because the U.S. sends billions in foreign aid and guarantees their defense. Let's turn that faucet off and see how well they fare.

They would face the choice of either diverting funds from progams like health care to defense (or other programs that we provide aid for) or raising taxes.

Countries with national health care programs already are paying relatively high taxes.

By providing for their defense and other aid we are therefore indirectly propping up their national health care programs.

    Canada is the perfect example.

Extremely small military budget. Why? Guess who would consider an attack on Canada an attack on them.

US would be correct, just to help out those in denial.

Not to worry! After the "0" gets through with his term, our country just might be looking to Canada for military support.:tear::praying:

That's right! I saw this piece about how Denmark's guhment healthcare system was so good and how we should be doing what they are doing until one of my UK friends pointed out this very point: does Denmark field a large army and navy? NO. The Americans and Brits protect Denmark.

Yes. Time to pull the plug on protecting deadbeats. Time to stop sending 45 billion to Africa for AIDS relief (which is one of the many things W did at the end of his presidency to make me vomit).

Our government doesn't even stop to consider that the money they blow IS OUR MONEY!!!
