For global warming believers...

Even though I've never accepted global warming as academic, I was brought up with the mindset of environmental responsibility. I've always reduced, reused, and recycled. It's not so much about climate change, and more about the scriptural mindset of being good stewards of the earth.

In 2009, I replaced my old water with a super efficient tankless water heater, wich solar backup. I've reduced my gas bill by about 40%. After doing the math, I figure that reduced my so-called carbon footprint by about 5%. I also replaced 50% of my mightbulbs with either CFL's or the new LED technology bulbs. According to Edison, that results in an additional 5% reduction.

Since 2008, my recycling bin has been full on trashdays, while my waste bin has been only about 1/3 full (a huge accomplishment for any family with teenagers). I figure that has reduced my footprint by 10%.

Most significantly, in 2005 I changed jobs and chose a job with a 2 mile commute. My gasoline consumption has dropped by a whopping 70%, which, if I do the math correctly, should reduce my footprint by at least 10%.

So the next time a politician tells me I'm not doing my share, or that I need to do more, I'll vote them out of office. I figure that will reduce the level of bull emissions by at least 20%.

 

I reduced CO2 output by several tons.

1. I found a couple of global warming moonbats and taped their noses and mouths shut. Pretty darn effective on noise pollution and CO2 output.
2. I also made sure my family ate 22% less beans than last year. And we made a family rule: Any one who had to break wind, had to do so in the direction of a houseplant.
3. I had planned to fly around the world on a charter jet, and tell everyone how evil it was to deposit CO2 in the air. But then, someone told me that that was already being done. I guess I'll have to come up with another ridiculous expression of blatant hypocrisy.
4. When I bow toward Copenhagen and pray to Al Gore, I now do so silently. Praying out loud took more air, and thus enlarged my footprint.
5. I'm asking the federal government to mandate that all cokes be manufactured completely flat...so that no CO2 escapes in those little bubbles.
6. Because of cows destroying our world, I've asked our local democratic representative to take action. I've shipped 10,000 corks, a long-handled glove, and detailed instructions to Rep. Bobby Bright. Don't make me explain that one any more.

Gee, I hope that's enough. If not, I'll just buy more tape, and work on sealing up all the CO2 exhaust ports (OK, most of them) on a few more moonbats.

I would suspect that a great number of us who refuse the man-made climate change hoax would have a smaller 'carbon footprint' that those who accept it.

We reduce, reuse, and recycle. That last time I measured my 'carbon footprint' it was far below average.

 

on a serious note, We recyle and reuse where possible. "Reduce" means different things to different folks. For the eco-maniacs who eschew bathing, makeup, and non-Birkenstock footwear, we probably don't do enough to suit them. And I must say, I haven't lost a minute of sleep over it.

 

Does wearing the same underwear and socks three days in a row count for anything?

 

Only for MLB players during playoffs.
