How will the American people respond? We can litigate against this or ask the Congrress to override it and/or cut off the funding of EPA.

Climategate: Barack Obama's rule by EPA decree is a coup d'etat against Congress, made in Britain

    By Gerald Warner

Who needs tanks on the lawn when you have the Environmental Protection Agency? Barack Obama’s use of the EPA to pressurise the Senate to pass his climate change Nuremberg Decrees shows his dictatorial mentality. He wants to override Congress, which is hostile to his climate gobbledegook because it is representative of the American electorate, and sideline the nation’s elected Senators by ruling by decree, courtesy of the EPA. This is a coup d’état.

    ...

This is a socialist, World Government putsch. Have the American people the resolution to resist it? We shall soon know.

EPA Threatens “Command-and-Control” Economy to Push Climate Change Agenda

EPA Threatens “Command-and-Control” Economy to Push Climate Change Agenda

    Kurt Nimmo
    Infowars
    December 9, 2009

The Environmental Protection Agency’s recent declaration that the life-sustaining gas carbon dioxide is a dangerous pollutant is part of an effort to establish “command-and-control” role for government. EPA boss Lisa Jackson declared carbon dioxide dangerous prior to her scheduled appearance at the Copenhagen climate summit in Denmark.

Command-and-control is a military term defined as the exercise of authority and direction by a designated commanding officer over assigned and attached forces in the accomplishment of the mission. In the case of the EPA, the mission is to impose the globalist climate change agenda on the United States.

More specifically, the EPA threat to impose a military-style command-and-control over the economy is an effort to force congressional action on the climate change agenda.

EPA states that it will not wait for an agreement in Copenhagen and action on climate change legislation in Congress. Proposed legislation that passed the House is currently on hold in the Senate.

The EPA is yet another out of control federal agency that sees itself as being above the legislature, the executive, and the courts and, more importantly, above the people. They want to make the rules, enforce them, and rule on the infractions. We've been fanning their fire for years and now we're getting just what we deserve in an administration that's all about more "command and control" of private business. The whole greenhouse gas myth is just a way to justify this agenda.

    The Chicago Hoods

The Obama administration is warning Congress that if it doesn't move to regulate greenhouse gases, the Environmental Protection Agency will take a "command-and-control" role over the process in a way that could hurt business.*

The warning, from a top White House economic official who spoke Tuesday on condition of anonymity, came on the eve of EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson's address to the international conference on climate change in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Jackson, however, tried to strike a tone of cooperation in her address Wednesday, explaining that the EPA's new powers to regulate greenhouse gases will be used to complement legislation pending in Congress, not replace it.

"This is not an 'either-or' moment. It's a 'both-and' moment," she said.

But while administration officials have long said they prefer Congress take action on climate change, the economic official who spoke with reporters Tuesday night made clear that the EPA will not wait and is prepared to act on its own.*

    And it won't be pretty.*

"If you don't pass this legislation, then ... the EPA is going to have to regulate in this area," the official said. "And it is not going to be able to regulate on a market-based way, so it's going to have to regulate in a command-and-control way, which will probably generate even more uncertainty."*

We need to elect some congresspeople with guts to GUT the EPA. All it takes is some people with character who will reduce their funding and get them back in line.

The dems in congress will get on board with it as soon as they finish gutting healthcare.

They can only ruin so much of our country at one time.

I had never considered the possibility that the United States would become a dictatorship as it has become today.

While we, the American people, have been fighting over Democrats versus Republicans, over conservatives versus liberals, the elites have been using all of that fighting to distract us while they went about their goal of establishing a worldwide dictatorship - and we are all responsible for allowing ourselves to be distracted.

Of course those who voted for "the one" are maybe just a little more responsible than those who didn't?

I think some of us have indeed been distracted and wandered from position to position but not "all" of us!

KenH got something right! Our owners care who we elect because they own every major party. They don't careif eveyone of us owns guns. The guns didn't stop them from stealing $2 trillion in a half year.

    Not all of us.

I warned you a few weeks ago that Obama intended to circumvent the Senate ratification of any climate treaty by using the EPA and executive orders.

    You discounted that possibility entirely.

It is good to see your eyes wide open.

It means Rev, that while we've been so enthralled and distracted by the false left vs right paradigm the people behind the push for world government, who incidentally control the white house, congress and the mass media no matter which party is "in control" have been very busy carrying out their agenda.

It means most folks here have been blinded by two hands of the same tyrant.

    Am I correct Ken?
