Lieberman to run as a Republican in '12 ?

Not good news for republicans.

Lieberman is a far left liberal that occasionally breaks with his party in the areas of defense and health insurance. There are a lot of insurance companies based in Connecticut.

He will go along with the increased costs, taxes, medicare cuts, and rationing that will result from the rest of the plan.

A Neoliberal.

He will just be another Olympia Snow or Arlen Spector that will always sell out when you need him most.

 

Uh huh.

But if it's a leadership that can't get the members of his own party to carry forward a conservative agenda, what real good is it?

 

He is not going to run as a republican

 

Lieberman will be lucky to be re-elected. His going along with this bill has many people in an uproar here. I was speaking to a friend at work yesterday, he sent an e-mail to Lieberman saying he would not vote for him next election.

I have never voted for a Democrat, but I liked some things about Lieberman. He is consevative in some areas. I think he is a pretty good guy and really cares about his country, even though he is very liberal in some areas.

But he made a big mistake supporting this bill. Even in this super-liberal state I live in lots of folks are upset at the policies of this current administration.

 

Other than agreeing with the neocon interventionist, nation-building foreign policy of many in the GOP I don't see how the limited domestic government folks in the GOP would support his inclusion in the Republican Party.

 

Ken, you know when you use too many of the catch words in one sentence like that it sounds sort of Stepfordish.

 

He would end up like a lot of the current crop of Republicans -- RINO.

 

It's not like that at all Ken it's just that after being fed a steady diet of lies the truth tends to taste funny at first. Some, it seems can never aquire a real taste for it. :smilewinkgrin:

 

In other words, he takes the statist position on just about every issue, just like Obama.

"Reaching across the isle" and being a "moderate" are just synonyms for blatant statism. It almost always means taking the bigger government approach to any issue for which, unfortunately, one of the two parties will agree.

 

I don't think the Obama admin. Has gone overboard with blaming Bush for everything. U can't ignore the fact though that the economy tanked under the republ. & they held all 3 elected branches of govt. Tom Delay = forced abortions !
