    Hey Everyone!

How is your health? How are you doing with nutrition and exercise? Are you feeling okay?

I'm doing fine at the moment. I'm eating well and doing the Walk At Home series. She's kinda corny, but I really like her (Leslie Sansone). I'm also following the principles of The Eden Diet by Dr Rita Hancock. It's dieting without dogmas. I really like it! And since Spring, I've lost nearly 20lbs. I'm in my recommended weight range again. YAY!

Now I'm hoping to get through Christmas cookie season

Let us know how you're doing!

I started working out after a long lay off on March 1st in my home gym, it is 16ft x 18ft and is full of equipment. I've bought a couple new pieces of equipment and done away with a couple others. I have continued to workout 3 to 5 times a week since I started.

My upper body and arms are really starting to get defined and I'm getting a pretty good V shape but I need more work on my abs and obliques. I'm starting to focus more on my legs, glutes and thinking about working some hard and fast running into my routine, one to three miles.

Monday, I did 10 upper body weight lifting exercises, 3 sets of 15 reps each which was pretty intense and took 1 hr and 45 minutes. Tuesday, on the heavy bag and eliptical. Wednesday I did full body for a little over 2 hrs. Today, I was a bum.

My shape and endurance are noticeably improving by the month and I'm as motivated as ever.

Besides being on medications for high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and diabetes, I am allergic to so many things that I'm constantly sick. I'm anemic, always tired and sleepy, and I hurt in my shoulders from bursitis, in my neck from a fall from a roof, and in my shoulders, elbows, upper arms, fingers, lower back, knees, and ankles from arthritis. Other than I'm in great shape for the shape I'm in. :godisgood:

The golden rule for achieving a healthy weight (and not just losing weight for the sake of losing weight) is EAT LESS, MOVE MORE.

Eating right and eating less will only get you so far. If you're not moving, you won't lose much weight.

I've been a strict adherent to eating right, eating less, and moving more for 10 years, and in addition to having a healthy weight, I feel fantastic. Of course, it requires discipline. I'm at the gym at least 2 or 3 times per week.

going to the gym twice a week right now, in Janurary hope to get back to my usualy 3x a week, losing fat and building muscles, every month I get weighted and measured, he checks hoe much fat I have, my numbers keep going down. Eating right almost all the time, occasionaly I don't, like I usually eat 93% lean ground beef, tomorrow nights chili will be 80% lean instead, why I have this in my freezer I don't know.
may not be going to work out at all next week, I think I pulled a ham string, hurts, walking is difficult.

Good for you Donna! Not for the hamstring though. You do that at the gym? I get pulls and cramping every once in a while too, last week it was spasms in my obliques from overdoing a new exercise. I most often find that the quickest way to get it over the pains is to lightly work them out after a couple days, then the next day they usually feel much better. If you try that take it easy though and if it hurts real bad stop, because sometimes it doesn't work and you just need to rest it. Keep up the good work.

Good to have advice from people with more expereince then me.
When i feel achy working out I keep going just slow down, and usualyl liek you said it goes away in a few minutes. If I can keep from it I don't want to cut a work out short, I feel like I failed todays test. But I really hurt then I probably would.
I've been getting some cramping in the back of my legs on the bike, which I do right after the elyptical. My husband and I talked and think it was becasue I stared walking around a few minutes and resting before I got on the bike. Turned out fine Thursday.
I don't think I did it in the gym, it didn't hurt till 24 hours after I was last in the gym. At least today I can walk and not hobble.
