I was looking at a student and thinking how she's the spitting image of my best friend from years ago. Then I was wondering how old she was and figured "eh, maybe 15" and thought about that a sec and it hit me that I'm old enough to be her mom. Then it hit me that I could be her mom and with a few years to spare.
The stupid punch in the gut came when I suddenly remember
bered I DO have a kid her age. Duh!

Where does the time go?? My oldest son will be 26 tomorrow. It's really hard for me to believe it! And when I was his age, there was no internet, cell phones, or Starbucks..

It's scary when you think about it -- all the things that they now take for granted weren't around when we were their age -- and the list goes on --- no ipods, no pcs (much less laptops), flat screens, etc.

Being of a ditsy personality and unmarried with no children, I am appalled to discover that I could have a daughter and grandkids.....

I have done much similar things. Can't believe I am old enough to have adult children. (I don't, but I am old enough to.)
