The idea is for anybody to make random comments about the NCAA games that are on right now.

Love how Robert Morris is going to beat Villanova. Does it get any better than a 15 over a 2?

    BYU looks great against Florida.

Whoo-hooo! Murray State got a 15-foot jumper with time running out to beat Vandy 65-64. I like Vandy, but in this one, I had to pull for Murray, which is just 40 miles from my home in Paducah. Vandy fought back and took a 64-63 lead with 12 seconds to go.

Terrific game. Sad for Vandy, glad for Murray state.

Want to talk about a bracket buster? Ohio is up by 14 on Georgetown with 30 seconds to go in the 1st half. I know of nobody who predicted that one if Ohio wins.

Purdue won :) I have never seen such a popular underdog as Siena before. Eveyone was picking them.

Don't expect the boilers to quit just because they lost one player. THey still have a lot of talent and could go far as long as they all play well.

On further reflection, I regretted picking them even before the tip. Siena was almost as popular a pick as SDSU over the Vols. Both UT and Purdue (who played a great game earlier this year) have roller-coaster tendencies. But neither should be counted out.

There, that should seal their fates for this weekend

Well, you didn't seal UT's fate, Tom. They advanced somewhat easily. The real bracket buster was Northern Iowa beating Kansas.

I thought it was possible for NO Iowa to win, but I thought Collins would carry Kansas just like I thought Scotty Reynolds could 'Nova. Shows what knowing about basketball will get you.

Butler just knocked off Syracuse. Butler will be playing on Saturday to go to the Final 4. Amazing.

The Vols and the Buckeyes play another classic. If you want to see basketball at its best, just watch any UT/OSU game from the past five years. Just classic!

    The Bruce is still loose!!!!!!

The Bruce may be loose, but the Cats are not. In a quite satisfying turn of events, Kentucky gets bounced from the tournament. Imagine a Final 4 of Tennessee, Butler, West Virginia and Baylor. Tennessee? The football school playing for a national basketball championship? Sometimes truth is stranger than fiction.

Tennessee is probably the second most successful bball program in the SEC. But I hear you.

Let's not count our chickens yet. Duke and Mich St have no intention of going gently into that good night. Still, it does make for an interesting prospect.

Actually, last night, I did taxi - as Syracuse hosted the East regionals - made some good money. Interesting note, many of the customers I picked up were from Canada - (thats a foreign country for our liberal friends  )

May a good "haul" - commission and tips

Pete, you should have come up and helped out :1_grouphug:

If Florida did it a couple times, any school can do it.

I always pull for SEC teams and I was pulling for Tom's Vols, they played a good game. Neither team should have lost, but that is why we play the game. Now the SEC is on the outside looking in.

The downtrodden, "weak" SEC had two teams playing for the final four. Interesting. The Big 12 did that too. No one else. The Big East did have two teams in the Sweet 16 out of 8 in the dance.
