I've personally never owned a Toyota but that's what I learned on and what my parents owned when I was young.

A 1983 Toyota Corolla and a 1978 (I think) pickup. Drove both of them over 200,000 miles!

No Toyota. I've had 2 Fords (big mistake), 1 Dodge (worst mistake), 1 Pontiac (great car for about 6 weeks until it got totaled) and several Chevy's. I'm staying with Chevy.

I had a 1980 Cressida with a six cylinder, and an old Toyota wagon with a 20R.

Yes, and it's the most reliable car we've ever owned.

    I Brake for Toyotas

At one point had two at once, at another had one. So three altogether.

Two were Toyota Camry LE's. All were excellent.

I had a big pick-up truck t-bone me with my three girls in the back-seat when they were still pretty little. That Camry stood its ground! There was over $7,000 worth of damage, and my kids didn't have a single injury. The only injury I had was from playing superwoman by reaching back with one arm and yanking one of the poor girls right out of her seatbelt because I saw the truck coming right towards her window.

The next time I need another car, I'll be looking for a Toyota Camry LE again. They are solid and dependable. With the current issues, I'm more confident in Toyota than any other car, because you know any vehicles coming out are going under the microscope, right?!
    I mean really...give Toyotas a brake!

That won't stop me from continuing to make up funny slogans for them though. Like how they're miles ahead of their competitors.

I've owned a lot of different cars over the years, but never a Toyota. Last time we looked for a car, we looked at a Camry hybrid and the dealers wanted $34k - $0 off the sticker price. Needless to say, we walked. That's beginning to look like even a better decision.

I've owned '79, '84, and '91 Toyota trucks, my wife had a Toyota car when we got married, and we have since owned a vehicle made by Toyota and own one made by Toyota now.

Currently drive a 2008 Tacoma, love it. Yes, the floor mat would get on top of the accelerator, in which I had to pull it back, this happened about three or four times. The floor mats had hooks on them to keep them in place but they would come undone. I purchased some heavy duty rubber mats with a lip around them which I wanted anyway. They have little pointy things underneath that stick to the floor carpet; I cut out a notch around the accelerator and have had no more issues.

I forgot--I had a 1965 Volkswagen bug. It was one of the most reliable vehicles I ever had (I won't call it a car; it was a pregnant roller skate), although I froze my buns off in the winter.

Sort of. We 'inherited' an old Toyota Cressida from my in-laws. Drove it for awhile, then passed it on to a cousin of my husband's.
