By asking politely, and then letting it pile up. Nagging may get him to take it out, but it does way more damage then 99.9% of women realize.

Give him $2000 and send him to Lowe's to buy a shiny new "toy" er, I mean, lawn tractor.

Or you could just make your teenager do it with an old push mower and a promise to go bowling with friends.

You must have been a fly on the wall at our house. madre has her own car. Every once in a while she asks me to drive it because she thought she heard a noise. So I took it for a whirl the other day:

    • exhaust is falling off
    • low on oil
    • front tires are so worn the air is showing
    • the back brakes sound like a St Bernard getting stuffed through a cat door
    • Somebody named I don't know left a big blue stain on the rear seat. It's tan leather. You'd think she'd notice.
    • and she operates under the false notion that the E on the gas gauge stands for Enough.
    We had a chat.

What do I need a man to do that for? He'd be more likely to leave it on empty so's I didn't run around so much. I'll tend to my own gas tank cause he don't bother checking the bank balance. :D

Well what worked for me was to a rolling laundry basket in the most annoying (to him) spot possible. As in: if he drops his laundry on the floor, he'll have to walk on it to get out of the bathroom (or in depending). And if HE doesn't care that he's walking on his dirty laundry, I sure don't (I just keep my shoes on!). :D

I don't think there IS an answer for this one. I've been trying for 15 years to find out, with no luck.

I must have it very, very good.

I don't have to remind him of any of this stuff. In fact, I feel guilty sometimes for not doing it myself, since I've not worked outside the house for over a month now. I guess he just got used to it all!

If the dishes are sitting there, he washes them. If the garbage is full, he takes it out. He pays the bills on time every time and keeps the checkbook balanced. There's always gas in the car, and he has no problem doing laundry.

On the few occasions I've felt the need to nag him, I also ended up apologizing because I was in the wrong and just being mean because I was in pain or frustrated or crampy. Just my luck, EVERY time I get up the nerve to apologize, he's doing something like sweeping the floor or vacuuming, and that only makes it worse. He can't be sitting there watching tv and scratching himself or anything, he's STILL being nice!

Did I mention I am SO STINKIN LUCKY?!

Leave him and the baby by themselves in the house and disconnect the telephone so he can't call his mother!

Why can't a woman just put it down? :wavey:

Never had a problem changing my kid's diapers.

I was at the home of a friend of mine once and his daughter needed a change. He said something to his father-in-law, her grandpa, about changing her and his father-in-law declined, saying, "I've done my time." That's exactly how I feel. If I'm ever blessed with grandchildren, I won't be changing their diapers.
