    Have fun, and don't cheat:

SPOILER ALERT: don't click the link below, unless you want answers. But the yahoo article sourced gives us this disturbing factoid:

26/30 here. And most of it was learned outside of the classroom.

Thanks for the test, even if I didn't do all that hot.

Well, I did teach American History to elementary school students, so it's not really fair on my part. It's not like I was having to remember from my own school days. I missed two. #26 (I started not to claim missing that one because I feel so stupid and can't believe I picked the wrong answer, but a wrong answer is a wrong asnwer) And I missed #29. I was thinking about maybe Mexico helping out the British on the other side of the Mississippi. (D'uh....I went too far.)

    C'est la vie.

Great quiz -- missed four. A couple are really difficult and I had a brain freeze on a couple of others.

    25 correct / 5 incorrect

I guess that's not too bad (although I'm not fully certain how questions 19, 22, and 23 specifically relate to the period of time that this questionnaire purports to cover). Maybe someone can enlighten me on why those three questions were included in this questionnaire.

That irritated me, too. I could only suppose that they were trying to make a point that people knew more about pop culture than the American Revolution.

Of course they do. Pop culture is in your face, every day, all day. Not many people reflect on the Revolution.

That's the only thing that I could come up with.

Most likely your speculation is true.

I only got one of those three correct, and that was only a guess.

I don't keep up with so-called "Pop Culture" anyway....I suppose that's probably why I don't even know who "Jon and Kate" are [Q 19]! :tear:

I surprised myself here I got 18/30 which is 60% not bad for a foreigner who is not particularly interested in American history:thumbs:

29 of 30. I've read a lot about the war, but I had not come upon the westernmost military action until now.

I missed a few that I couldn't relate to the war, but as a foreigner, I guess I didn't do too badly. Four questions just went unanswered. The remainder were correct.

    Cheers,

    Jim
