Yesterday nothing went right. Seriously. My husband joined me in my day around 2pm and of course I told him about the bad day I was having and like all good husbands do, he blew it off.:tongue3: By the end of the day, he would not even stand by me for fear of a lightning strike!! SOOOO...My hope is that someone else had an equally wonderful day.
Why do you think we have bad days? Why do you think some days are GREAT? Do you think Einstein was right, that there is an alternate universe where everything is opposite?

I must say, I will mark this day down as some kind of 'wierd penance'. I have six 'rescue' dogs at my home. Southern California Edison came by to install the 'summer energy saver' on my air conditioner. The guy opened the gate and LEFT IT OPEN just long enough for all six 'escapee's' to make their way down the street. I am still recovering from surgery and not anywhere near full speed yet. It took me hours to track them all down. Some neighbors were helpful and some chased them off just as I was coaxing them back. Went through four bags of treats (bribes)!

Lori, I pray that you find your dogs soon !

I also, am a dog lover. I have raised and trained countless Border Collies in my days.

I'm more partial to homeless mutts these days, But I know the love of a "best friend type" dog, no matter the breeding.

Don't give up hope yet. Let us know how your search goes.

Oh Lori! How frustrating! Tennis and Saggy, I'm so sorry you had a bad day.

No words of wisdom, just hugs and nodding my head in understanding.:1_grouphug:

They are all back! I bet I stand guard over that back gate when anyone is doing work in my back-yard from now on. I was amazed how quickly my dogs forgot their names outside of the yard!

All of them came to us homeless originally. Two of them had been abused and require lots of love.

But, I read something recently that said in adversity, you see who you really are when no one is standing around you.

I don't want to sound super spiritual, but I rise at 4 each morning and start offmy day repeating: "This is the day the Lord has made, I will be glad and rejoice in it."

When bad moments creep up, I am reminded of that scripture and turn the moment about and find something to be happy about.

I once bemoaned my stroke, and what it did to me. As I visit other stroke victims and see them lie on their backs, staring at ceiling and moaning, I rejoice that I can still stumble along, speak and do things.

Yes, frustration does enter my life and these are not good moments, but they remain just that, moments. Wife's patience enters the picture and I must straighten around, cos she ignores me!

I trust all of you will turn your day about and enjoy life whilst you have it. My day is closing with each year, but I can still go one day at a time, as that familiar song reminds us. It does help.

    Cheers,

    Jim

Bad days? I didn't know there was any other kind. I toss and turn all night long--unable to sleep; then I force myself to get up feeling worse than I did when I went to bed. I'm sick all the time and in constant pain from my neck to my feet. I'm so tired all day long that I don't feel like doing anything.

My days usually consist of eating, playing on the computer, watching boring re-runs on the TV, roasting through it all since my air conditioner won't work without blowing the circuit breaker. I have no money to get it fixed.

The only time I feel OK is when sleeping; unfortunately that's not very often. I have no energy and feel like death warmed over, and I long for the Lord to call me home.

When do the good days begin? When I'm no longer on this miserable sin-cursed, hate-filled earth.
