    Hey all,

I imagine that I am not the only sermon audio fan. I have found a lot of great godly preaching there. Maybe we could list some of our favs as a way for others find good preaching.

    Mine are:

    John Weaver
    J.W. Mencarow
    Ian Paisley
    Iain Murray

To name a few. Been listening to alot of Weaver of late tho.

Hey if anyone is looking for good preaching, check out my church's website: www.solidrockbaptist.org and just click on "listen to sermons". It hasn't been updated recently though. We just had Dennis Corle preach this past Sunday. We had 12 saved in the morning service and 1 saved in the evening service. It was great!

I was absolutely shocked to see Ian Paisley's name mentioned....Wow! Do you really know this preacher and his work in Northern Ireland?

I had him as a guest lecturer in seminary.

    Cheers,

    Jim

I hope to meet him some day. I wonder if his schedule is posted on the internet somewhere?

I've followed him for years. A great preacher indeed! But he's had a falling out with his own denomination - I don't understand all of it, but something about his Government Office and the peace agreements in Northern Ireland. They say he compromised.

    JD,

A compromise was essential to attain peace in Northern Ireland with the IRA. A political compromise does not indicate a theological change on Paisley's part. He remains true to the faith.

I suppose you also follow the late Carl McIntyre and perhaps T.T. Shields of Jarvis Street Baptist, Toronto and Toronto Baptist Seminary.

    Cheers,

    Jim

I didn't realize he was sick. May the Lord Jesus be merciful to him.

Not the first time Ian has been ill. He is a year older than me, and he has been ill almost unto death before.

    Cheers,

    Jim

Agree on your comment about political/theological compromise. Apparently some in his Church does not see the difference.

I never did meet Mr. McIntyre but I have visited the Church in New Jersey he founded. We were even thinking about joining it at one time but the differences on baptism were too great. We may yet join a Free Presbyterian Church, though. We're visiting and thinking about it. They have a unique position on baptism for a presbyterian church. The only thing I know about Shields is some materials I've seen written by him here and there. As I remember, high quality stuff - think I'll look some of it up.
