You miss the point. Insubordination is insubordination and cannot be tolerated.

It is you that missed the point...of the article.

    But that's normal.

It's the historical comparison and it's implications that is the point of the article.

The 2 are not even close.

Carpro understands alright, but he will never let any opportunity to criticize President Obama slip by regardless of how much Internet-searching and truth-stretching he must do.

I don't believe that Carpro had denied that McChrystal was insubordinate.

A question of whether or not McChrystal was insubordinate is not the topic of the thread.

The topic concerns the historical comparison of Obama/McChrystal to Truman/MacArthur.

And I agree with the OP article - in terms of degree, substance and historical significance there is no comparison.

Sounds slightly hypocritical coming from an Obama apologist like you, but try to stay on topic.

FYI I believe McCrystal had to be fired. If you consider that to be critical of Obama, you'll just have to live with it.

But the historical comparisons are overblown, and that is the subject of this thread. If you have anything to actually contribute concerning the topic, I'd like to see it.

Did McCrystal refuse to follow orders and argue against orders as Mac did?
