    .... while her parents go around crying foul against the court system, I am thinking that they ought to be giving thanks for several reasons:

    1 - She only got 90 days, and will probably serve less than 30;
    2 - This could be the best thing to happen to Lindsay, in fact, it may be the straw that breaks the back of her addiction to drugs, alcohol, and whatever else it is that has her so hung up on worldly things;
    3 - Finally, this girl needed a strong dose of tough love a long time ago, and it is a shame that it took a tough nosed judge to administer what the parents were totally unable to do...

    This will not be the end to her addictions, unless she gets the message, that if you do the crime, you'll do the time!

    How many folks do all of us know who would have had the book thrown at them a long time ago for acting out like Lindsay has ???

    Star treatment is disgusting, and it's no wonder that so many die so young from their addiction to drugs, alcohol, and fast living.

    This serves as a strong message to all of us who have children... there is time when, all else doesn't work, that tough love is the only road to put them on, if we truly care about their future.

    Hopefully teens and young people will see that they too, can go to jail for being totally incorrigible and out-of-control. :tonofbricks:

    She's a whiny-baby spoiled brat who missed several character-building lessons (i.e. spankings) while growing up. I'm hoping she serves the whole 90 as it would be good for her.

    Did anybody hear Lindsey's father ask Sean Hannity to use his influence in bringing to public awareness the role doctors play in the drug abuse problem and holding them accountable? While I agree with everything Pastor Paul says, I think this is an issue that needs to be addressed. Appeals from the family of an addict to the addict's string of doctors, to the so-called 'pain clinics' and the VA hospitals do no good; the doctors go right on doling out the pills and shots, while the patient goes deeper and deeper into addiction and denial. Proving addiction to prescription drugs is difficult as long as the addict can appear to function normally part of the time, making it very difficult, for instance, to remove young children from a mother who is unable to adequately care for them due to her drug abuse. Doctors need to be held accountable for indiscriminately prescribing narcotics when they should be prescribing psychiatric treatment or rehab instead.

    Jail did remarkable good for Robert Downey, Jr.

    Of course, he's a guy with more maturity and talent than Lindsay.

    I guess if you do the crime, you need to be prepared to do the time.

    Wow, you never said a truer word....note she is also an addict & they are going to allow the drugs to continue while in prison. Why?

    Can someone please explain to me why Lindsey Lohan is a "celebrity" or why her personal problems is national news? I've heard her name from time to time for several years, but I'm at a loss to explain why. The sad part is that she clearly believes her on press. In 50 years nobody will know who Lindsey Lohan was, but they will still know true celebrities/stars like Lucille Ball, Dick Van Dyke, Mary Tyler Moore, and Andy Griffith (among others). IMO, most of the modern "celebrities" are glorified, untalented one-hit wonders.

    Lindsey Lohan is actually a good actor. However, she's not too good at being a diva. Seems that spending some time in jail did Ms. Hilton some good. Perhaps it will be for Ms. Lohan.

    The central question is, why do we the people give a second thought to the lives of celeberties, talented or not? Who cares? Why does the news media waste time on such stories? Had that been you or I, we would have been in jail long ago. For all that Fox News claims to be a conservative outlet, they spend most of their time on magazine type articles. It is either the saga of some mistreated starlette, or a local murder story of some beautiful college teen.

    The Today Show is a great example of the decay of the news outlets. In the 60's, the Today show was a good source of information. It lasted about two hours. Today, it is four hours, and mostly taken up with somebody telling me what is medically wrong, or someone cooking up a great dish, or some group of nut jobs dancing in the street outside the studio.

    There is something that has infected our entertainment over the decades. It is the same mindset that makes reality shows the latest rage.

    Can you believe my husband is Facebook friends with her father? They went to school together. He wasn't sure whether to accept the request or not but I said to go ahead because, heaven knows he needs some Godly influence SOMEWHERE in his life! LOL

    Tremendous Opportunity Waiting For Your Husband

    I'll be the fisrt to tell you that your husband has my prayers. It is my hope that he can reach the dad, and start a spiritual chain reaction.

    Thanks. So far he's not really had any real contact with him but I'm sure he reads my husband's updates. Who knows what God can do!

    Who Knows What God Can Do ????

    We do...:jesus: let's all pray for Mr. Lohan to come to Jesus. What a testimony to the world for us, on the Board, and the Baptist Forum itself, as we are able to look back to this post, and point out to Lohan, and the world, that his salvation started with your post, and our decision and commitment to join together and pray for his salvation. PTL !!!

    Excited for What Jesus Can Do,:1_grouphug:
