I've already been reading reports of Boy Scouts being "trained" to subdue "disgruntled" American veterans or "domestic terrorists" as they are called these days.

Obviously talking about CCC type jobs programs.

 

An aged gentleman who knows more history than I can learn and retain now.... told me that I should 'study' Hitler's rise to power.

He said the current situation and the change which has occurred over the last score, and particularly in the last decade is like following the blueprint which brought Hitler to power and following his plan for bringing government and the people under control.

Then I heard an old woman interview on the radio: She was a young pre-teen the day Hitler was elected....... yes..... she said 'elected'. She went on to tell how quickly Hitler was able to 'inspire' the people, 'give them a vision of greatness', and how celebrated was his win. She explained how the defeat and the depressed economic condition and unemployment and stark times prepared the people for grabbing at any 'hope' offered. Between those that were employed and those still in the military.... and those which weren't but had time and energy available to be manipulated and channeled ('employed') by leadership and directed.

Among some of the changes he made was uniting the people to believing in a vision as he saw it. Without letting them think that they might be the target, he encouraged them to think of themselves in terms of differences and divisions. He encouraged gangster style lawlessness, and the crimes committed encouraged the populace to think in terms of personal disarmament of private gun collections due to the magnification of violence and crime.... much of which was staged or incited. Other words, he primed or prepared the people for disarmament and suspicion within their ranks and their communities of those 'different'. Then he disarmed them. Then he slowly and carefully divided them into those that were with him and those who were not.

Those who were educated and leaders in their fields, professsions, teachers..... people most likely to be current with history current and past, and to think and see and be alarmed over changes occurring, potential leaders of rebellion, respected in their communities and by associates....... were essentially divided along idealogical lines.... and marked for extermination if believed that they would not ally themselves with him and give him allegiance. Many dissenters disappeared suddenly and overnight .......and the purge continued throughout his regime. The strike of the state occurred at night under cover of darkness by the state controled thugs given official status.

One day, as a child, she went to school as usual..... and found her teacher was different, the classroom was decorated differently, and the teacher began by declaring the authority of the fruer, and establishing rules, which she said, all would be expected to follow. School was turned into a militaristic endoctrination institution almost overnight. A dress code was instituted and children were given awards or demerits according to their conformity. Their parents were threatened and held responsible for the compliance of their children to the state.

They (the children) were encouraged to be the eyes and ears of spys in the homes, ..... and, fortunately for her.... there was such a bond of love and trust between her and her parents (and her family had a living faith in Jesus Christ) that she was literally 'traumatized' by what she understood was taking place and was able to witness later what was occurring while hiding her personally felt rebellion against the tryanny and allegiance forced upon her.

People in the community would 'suddenly' disappear... and no one would talk about it.... some would return days or months later.... and some never did. Charges of any kind.... whether of real crime ..... or charges against the state.... were no longer tried in real courts with real defense or rebuttal testimony.... and evidence was often fabricated or embellished. The state thus acquired a free labor force for its industry and the 'dirty work' with the low expense of meger food rations and mass bunk boarding. There were the stories brought back from those who returned to their communities. Some were tortured to turn in family/friends/co-workers as complicits, whether guilty or not.

(Here my thoughts turn to 'just how much pain and agony or being told a loved one was threatened.....could I take?... or would I break?.... or does the mere thought so recoil in me that no effort would be reqired at all? What a sobering thought. And here it is.... our own country stands no longer without precedent.... our military and our government no longer pure in their ethics and morality..... we no longer have the satisfaction that 'this could never happen here"............the most faithful keep silent instead of demonstrating outrage concerning the morality.... of interogation torture techniques used on unconvicted enemy combatants/terrorist. This should be sobbering?)

I think this gentleman maybe correct. I think it is very possible that Hitler was a product and puppet of the darkest of man's evilly directed hopes and imaginations for rule, control, and separation from true faith in God, coupled with dark spiritual powers behind him and those oppressing the people of Germany. The people in that country had a void both spiritual and material. The void was there.

Is a void already here? In America? Is it deepening with the things which are occurring? Are we silencing as 'alarmist' those who voice concern in hopes that they or 'it' will go away? Are we encouraging one another in the faith and reminding each other what God can do? Have we taken 'risks of faith' in the will of God and proved Him even in the good times? I know that when I search myself.... I see that I need more than what I already have. I wonder what God sees? Are we just enjoying the present.... and living it up.... or are we investing in preparation by prayer and studying the Word.... and reaching others?



In 2008 we elected a President who promised 'change'. I say 'we' knowing that many votes including mine weren't cast for him.... yet collectively 'we' elected him.... even those who didn't vote but could! (Yes those who could but didn't vote ......are also participants in sharing responsibility.)

He is tall, dark, and handsome, and delivers a spell-binding speech. What are the spiritual powers behind such a man? Questions rose concerning his faith and religion, his birthplace and citizenship, his rise in recognition and office without proof of accomplishment, but he is charismatic.... and many who elected him, did so without even knowing the issues or who was running with him..... and many still follow without question.

Not trying to equate Obama to Hitler..... there is a comparison in the willingness of the people to cast to vote for whatever tempts them and to shut their eyes and ears to the dangerous signs and symptoms which betray their own vunerability and void.... as with the people of Germany when Hitler came to power. To some he represents the epitome of hope to a group which lives its victimhood, both real and imagined.... and still has a void existing because of their own priorities and allegiance.

Remember.... the people of Germany placed him in an elected position of power and from there he amassed more power and elevated himself into the facist dictator that he was 'to rule the world'. Hitler had a Jewish heritage which he denied with shame. Many signs were evident in what was known about him such that people should have questioned before voting for him; yet they did. It's not just that Obama was elected by those who knew so little about him.... but that if he was.... then who else will we do the same and how many does it take to control a nation?

Does the message of history and Hitler's Germany resonnate to our times? Is it possible that Germany was the devil's stomping ground and dress reherssal for a future time? Is it possible that God permitted that attroticous event in history as a lesson for our times..... to learn from and take heed lest we become followers of men, like the German people did, to our ruin and our shame? The people of Germany were able to recover. But in a 'dress rehersal' there's the chance to improve and recover the mistakes and failures of the first trial..... for the wicked as well as the just. And our government imported that evil to our country under Project Paperclip to gain the advantage of military, engineering, chemical, biological, psychic psychological and physiological knowledge and understanding that was studied by an evil group of elite experts without respect for life or mercy for their human victims. Much of what we know in circles of power and advancement of technology has been built upon the understandings of science turned evil and carries within it the spirits of evil possibilities for used as much against mankind and God as for a benefit and blessing.

We are at a turning point, imo, beyond which we may have no choice. It is not a matter of taking or advancing violence. But it is a matter of choosing where we stand, with whom we will stand, on what faith we stand, and how we will stand. Individually and collectively we must determine to get involved.... to either run or participate in digging deep into the evidence of those who are running to prove them..... before we chose to elect them or endorse them to others. And we need to encourage those around us who voice alarm... that they aren't alone... invite them to join us in faith.... and then continue to encourage one another.

 

I think we already saw a glimpse of them in Philadelphia when the Black Panthers bullied voters in 08.

 

Poncho, Be Honest About the BSA

When you tell the Board that the "Boy Scouts" are being trained to "subdue" disgruntled veterans, etc., the picture you painted was one of the entire Scouting program being recruited to serve as the rebirth of Hitler's Youth.

The truth is, the only scouts being trained to handle and subdue disgruntled veterans and adults are those guys and gals serving in the EXPLORER Program that works with the local police and sheriff departments.

In all actuality, this represents a very small number of youth, and the training the Explorer Scouts attached to police units would be part of the program that is meant to pique the interest of these teens in going into a career in police work.

I think that you owe the BSA an apology. A statement like yours could cause parents across this country to keep their kids from joining the Cub and Boy Scout programs.

The Explorer Scouts are for the sole purpose of allowing older teens to pursue career information from the many different programs that Explorer Units are involved in, i.e., Sea Scouts (US Navy/Coast Guard) and Air Scouts (US Air Force) are but a few of the type of units that are there to help teens make better career choices by placing them in a hands-on, on-the-job-training like program.

I'm a life time Scout, Member of the Order of the Arrow, and worked for nearly three years a Professional Scout, or, what is commonly called a District Executive.

Scouting will always be a great program for kids to learn to take care of themselves, nature, and their fellow humans.

Poncho will have to answer for his own brief statement.

IMO, righteousdude2, the institutions (including clubs, organizations, professions, etc.) which we used to revere and accept as choice and having such high standards that they were inpenatrable from change for evil, are in danger IF we take them for granted. Many are already undergoing changes, and many have already been changed by an evil element entering them and steering them in directions which their founders would not believe possible. I was a 'girl scout' when young and pre-teen, way back in the 50's. I still think it can be a good organization for girls on the local level, but will not support it because of the infiltration of the diversity of values and lifestyle acceptance and other changes regarding female roles to those of husband, family, church, and community.... as represented by folks in the regional and national level.

It is not that all have been hi-jacked or infiltrated by purient interest.... but that they can be....and some involvements with government entities can open an area.... some good and well intentioned and beneficial..... and some twisted as an opening for endoctrination and altering values. I would hope that the boy scouts are more resistant to this change than the girl scouts has been.

That said.... I think the zero said what he meant in a cloaked sort of way: While superficially sounding great, he was telling the American people of his plan to involve or employ the youth from an age where they are still very impressionable and are still determining just who they are, into programs which may remove them from the supports of family and home and emerge them into a culture where their values are challenged, their ties depend upon conformity, and they might get involved in entanglements which could alter or haunt them the rest of their lives. The zero may have plans for new organizations.... but many youth organizations may be assessible pools for recruitment or even control and change. How pliant these might be will depend largely on the leadership for those that have national scope: The local interest are not always expressed on the national level and the direction which flows from the national level of organizations do eventually have influence upon the local organization..... and the reputation.

Obama made some statements in various speeches.... the exact wording and when now eludes me.... but it indicated that he had an idea of what amounts to forced volunteerism.... which might be prerequisite to being able to advance in school or employment; that he had in mind a 'civilian force' as prepared and possibly armed as a military force. While some of the direction may be for assisting and support of infrastructure... roads, parks, security, fire fighting, assistance to others.... it sounded like he wanted an armed youth also, strong enough for a military type action. What is this 'leader' anticipating as happening within our country which would necessitate in a constitutional republic, the need for a militarily equiped youth civilian force within our own country? When our schools don't even teach and promote our heritage, and kids have grown up with video games which teach violence and no values..... can they be expected to be controled by a moral compass if they are commanded to carry out an unlawful action? What about their resistance to peer or authoritative pressure if separated from their family..... those who could give them advice and direction if acquainted with these pressures? What about the parents even now? Talking is easy. The hard part is listening...especially when the timing is inconvenient..... which is often the very time the most important things are said. (But i see...... I'm drifting way, way off topic.)
