Amazing chop job in many of the clips.

As to the longer clips, why is it wrong to talk about Muslim contributions to society?

Obama the Muslim? Hardly. Same old stuff we have been hearing for more than two years.

Why not discuss his real flaws and weaknesses and work for his defeat instead of spending time on stuff that has no basis in reality? This kind of stuff discredits those who are genuinely opposed to President Obama's plans and policies and feeds the propaganda tools of his supporters.

This is the battle anyone who opposed him for legitimate reasons faces. I was recently talking to someone from the states about the president. They brought some of this up and I was able to respond to the criticisms by telling the whole story behind some of those clips. The person responded angrily, 'So you like Obama?' Some people would rather hear the excitement and titillation than address the real issues about why the United States should be working to see President Obama replaced on January 20, 2013.

His inexperience is already showing. His promises have already fallen short. The people are already showing their displeasure. Those who really want to see the president defeated in 2012 need to stay away from this kind of cheap ploy and focus on the issues.

I would not be surprised to learn one day that the people who produce these videos are Obama supporters trying to discredit his opponents.

    Obama a closet muslim? Maybe.

Christian? Based on what I have seen of his beliefs, probably not.

Either way, God will be the judge.

It matters not in this case how snipped up this video is (and it is very edited) those words would not change in any context. But if you are only concerned with defending him then redirected to irrelevant facts is the M.O.

Why would you refer to the Qran as holy if you were not a muslim?

If one refers to the Holy Bible does that make them a Christian?

    >Give me a break. How pathetic

Interesting exchange on a list that doesn't classify Catholics, Orthodox, Coptics . . . as "Christian."

Whatever Obama may be, he is not a born again Christian.

Amen to that. "Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world".

It means they believe the Bible to be inspired and they would consider themselves to be a christian (whether they are or not is not the issue). Would someone think the Qran is inspired while not being a muslim? Would a catholic, lutheran, CoC, JW, etc. refer to the Qran as "holy"?

Webdog can any person "unregenerate" look at the qran or the bible and say "it's a holy book"? Yes! Can a true born again believer say "the qran is a holy book" ? No!

    We have a winner.

But, with the exception of talking to the choir, I do think C4K is correct that this discussion, which is taking place on a BB, mostly of believers, is not a political argument but a religious argument which (btw is the point of the post... consitdering its title and not placement) would be considered evidence of stupidity by those who are not Christian and many who are nominally 'so' for lack of its relevance to issues which are secularly and socially and economically more weighty.

To reach people politically and change their minds.... you have to challenge them on their own turf and show them the difference between what they want and what they got. To get them pulling with you.... you've got to search for those points of agreement and build importance on that without joining them in other matters. The more you make a difference between you and them.... the more distinctive and isolated your position appears until they cannot see the virtue of agreement because they focus on the difference...... And, unfortunately, many are afraid of what they think 'the Christian right' means in their world of permissiveness, etc..

I don't expect you to tell the truth either when it comes to President Obama. I just hope you don't preach these lies to your congregation.

I know but that fails to impress me. You have no credibility on these issues. You make wild and bold assertions with nothing to back them up. Your a bit to emotional. And just for the record. I have started a number of threads where I agreed with Obama. So it is clear you are just speaking off the cuff and have no idea what in the world you are talking about.

You have not established that anyone has lied.

Since all muslims are unregenerate the answer is yes. That further supports my claim a true christian or someone who considers themselves to be a christian would not claim the Qran to be "holy".

I thought the topic was whether or not the president is a Muslim, not whether or not he is a Christian.

From what I have seen of his life and testimony neither is true. If he is a believer his testimony is weak at best.

To listen to these two second snip its edited together to prove President Obama is a Muslim is equivalent to taking a sermon preached by a Baptist pastor on Psalm 14 and edit the portion that says "...there is no God..." while he is reading the scripture and then claim he is an atheist.

If Obama is a Muslim, there should be better evidence that this. And, regardless of whether he is a Christian, a Muslim or neither wouldn't make him more appealing to his detractors.
