In other thread I see the term "MV" being used as if it were referring to a person. I thought around here that stood for "modern version" ie, any version of the Bible newer than the 1769 KJV.

I am not a Bible version. If some one wants to come up with a term for those who are not King James Version exclusivists then fine.
Calling a person an "MV" is just silly though.

That would be like us calling people a "KJ"

There are KJVO (King James Onlyists), KJVP (King James Preferred) and MVP (Modern Version Preferred) though the latter is usually perjorative.

Then there's Rippon, who is TNIVO

Right...I forget...you're not TNIVO, you're anti-ESV and anyone who's ever translated, used, touched, seen, or thought about any of the preceeding :tongue3:

Rip, you aren't having enough fun in show business. Lighten up, friend.

Repeating the same old "joke" numerous times is a bit stale.

Actually, I think "TNIVO" sounds kind of cool.

What about us LVO? It is the ONLY Latin translation that I use. It was the ONLY translation for 1000 years. Millions saved, only one used in sermons around the world.

Christopher Columbus took a Latin Vulgate with him and discovered the New World. How much more confirmation do you need that THIS was "God's Book"??

But was it on all three ships or just the Santa Maria. If the other 2 ships did not have one, then...

I think that since Chris and Crew (sounds like a store in the Mall) was seen with hersheys, marshmallow and graham crackers on the beach of San Salvador, they might have NOT been LVO (Latin Vulgate only)

    Probably "S'MORES"

(Santa Maria Only Reformed Evangelicals - and as I recall from Church history, S'MORES also used the Wycliff . . . )
