EXCLUSIVE: Arizona Sheriff: Border Patrol Has Retreated from Parts of Border Because It’s ‘Too Dangerous’

    Friday, August 13, 2010
    By Terence P. Jeffrey, Editor-in-Chief

(CNSNews.com) - Sheriff Larry Dever of Cochise County, Ariz., one of four Arizona counties contiguous with the U.S-Mexico border, said Friday that the U.S. Border Patrol has pulled back from parts of the border in his and neighboring counties because manning those areas has become too dangerous.

“And you frankly have Border Patrolmen--and I know this from talking to Border Patrol agents—who will not allow their agents to work on the border because it is too dangerous,”...

Isn't that tantamount to a CO not allowing his troops to go on recon or combat patrol because it is too dangerous ?
I mean, danger comes with the territory, right ?
"Border Patrol" means you secure the border, even if it's dangerous to do so, right ?

AN EXCERPT FROM THE ARTICLE, posted by carpro:

    Hell, yeah, let's.
They all can shout their stupid throats hoarse and file their stupid diplomatic protests, if their citizens insist on smuggling their drugs into our country and destroy our citizens with it, notwithstanding our citizens' causing the demand, themselves, their citizens should know they will DIE !!
    Plain and simple.

What's the title of that "Boss's" song ?
The Times They are A'Changin' ?
Never thought I'd see the day when Americans will tuck their tails in their own backyard. 70 miles north, for cryin' out loud, that's a lot of territory surrendered to criminals.
    Sad.

Purely and simply a lack of leadership. Most citizens are willing to put a stop to this invasion. Especially the citizens in the border areas, up to and including armed intervention.

The lack of effective enforcement of immigration law by the federal government is dereliction of duty and a certain invitation to even more trouble on the border and in the cities next to the border. But, of course, Holder and Obama think the States should just stand back and let them handle it. Let's vote the main scoundrel out of office as soon as possible and get someone in the White House that will actually uphold justice for our citizens regardless what anyone else thinks about it.
