Lancaster Baptist Church

    I was waiting for my pickup to be detailed at a local car wash and picked up a magizine entitled the Baptist Voice a publication of the Landcaster Baptist Church in Lancaster, Ca. to read while I pass the time. I found this publication doctrinally sound with a strong emphasis on christian principals. I would like to know if any of you are familar with this church and is it a Southern Baptist, Independant or Fundamental Baptist

    It is an Independant Fundamental Baptist out of the Sword of The Lord type.

    I have heard several good messages, from the pastor their, “Paul Chappell”.
    He seems to be a good man.

    They are the very conservative, KJVO, skirts-only type of IFB. We used to get the Baptist Voice on a regular basis until we found one issue contained a huge "sermon/rant" against women who were not "skirts only."

    Baptist Cultist ?

    Lancaster Baptist Church is a Hyles Anderson type of church. They are dogmatically KJVO and hold to several aspects of doctrine and practice that is based upon the misunderstandings of scripture. Their college faculty have degrees from Hyles Anderson and some other very inferior academic schools. Some are from degree mills. If you can shut down your brain you can enjoy the programs and music. They do preach the true gospel and have a highly motivated soul winning ministry. Therefore, they do much good as well as much harm.
