First a lady who used to go to our church (and obviously ran for the hills) follows him religiously, I heard two people in a store talking about him and now on another board, a woman is trying to tell everyone the end of the world is coming because Mr. Camping is the only one who can interpret Scripture? UGH!!!

So what are good websites with information that I can post to refute this man? I can't believe people actually follow him.

LOL - I have to say that there is a great need for truth here on LI. But not all of these people are from LI as I said one is from online. :)

He is one of the fastest growing false teachers in America.
I'm surprised the lady even came to 'church' as Shepards Chapel speaks against organized religion and declares anyone who goes to them is aligning themselves with false teachers.

I used to live 10 minutes from his studio - He doesn't do church. And my good friends mother was his secretary for many years. I have even spoken personally with him and his son.

His followers get together once or twice a year for food, fun, and the his teachings - But they wont call it church.. just a gathering.

I think he's predicting the end of the world... again.
Some time in 2011 or 2012.

He's missed it a few times in years past.

2011 because that will be 7,000 years since the flood (since a thousand years is like a day to God, and God gave Noah 7 days to preach to the people to repent, and we know that of course the flood is the sign of the beginning of the time that people have to repent before God closes the "ark" and no one else can be saved....although in the last however many years, no one has been saved anyway because the church is now no longer working with the Holy Spirit and therefore no one can be saved.......).

Understand?? No? Well that's OK because no one has ever understood this in history until God opened his eyes to be able to see it. So you couldn't understand it anyway since you go to one of the dead churches that are no longer working under the Spirit.

He says the end of the world is on May 12, 2011. That'll be about three months and eight days from now.
I plan to write him on that day (if he's still alive) and tell him to repent. He got left behind. LOL.
