If either Boise St or TCU go undefeated and there are less than 2 undefeated teams from BCS conferences should one of them go to the NCG?

Should Boise if they win out, go to the NCG regardless since they will be riding a 27 game win streak at that point?

It won't happen. If Bama or Ohio St have 1 loss or less, they will play for the National title, esp if this loss comes somewhat early. Boise got hurt today by the fact that James Madison goes into Blacksburg and wins. That just gave every voter the cover they wanted.

The JMU game will be a blow for sure.

I still think it is quite simple though.

If Boise goes undefeated and only Bama is also undefeated and tOSU has one loss, it will be Boise vs Bama.
If two BCS teams are undefeated it would not matter if Va Tech won the ACC, Oregon St won the Pac 10 and Wyoming won the MWC. THey would still be out I think

I am of the opinion that they would be just as deserving as anyone to be there IF they win out. But who knows if they will do that.

For what it is worth, under Kellen Moore (a junior this year) Boise is 27-1 and that 1 loss was to a top 10 team in a bowl game by 1 point.
TCU may have been 11 at the time but they were 7 in the final poll that year.

Boise is ridiculously overrated. They are not a top 10 team.

Now, I realize that they don't have a lot of say over a lot of their schedule, but their performances have not convinced me that they would survive a Big 10, Big 12, Pac 10, or SEC schedule.

Who did Boise lose to? Didn't they beat TCU last year?

And I hate to burst your bubble, but if Ohio St has one loss and Bama is undefeated, the Bucks and Bama play for the title. Boise St is not getting in.

They do control their own schedule outside conference play. Wyoming and Toledo are not teams you want on your schedule if you're trying to overcome a terrible conference slate.

Neither team would deserve it. How can you be considered for the national championship when you play no one?

I agree with you Pastor Greg,
Boise and TCU will have to blow out everybody they play, but even if they do, they don't deserve a national title shot. If they want the respect of tOSU and Bama and all the rest, then move into a BCS Conference like Utah is doing. Until then they don't deserve a title shot.

I think they deserve a shot but not to the exclusion of other, arguably more deserving teams. This is why I think we need some form of a playoff.
