    Detainees’ diets at Guantanamo Bay have been a controversial issue for some time and now the U.S. prison is said to be rationing ice cream.
    The frozen dessert is allegedly being tightly measured, with only one ice cream allowed for each of its 147 detainees.

    Journalist for The Miami Herald, Carol Rosenberg, photographed a refrigerator at Guantanamo, with two signs reading ‘DETAINEE FOOD ONLY’ and ‘Only 1 Ice Cream For each detainee!’

    This is President Bush at his worst! There he is in Texas enjoying all the ice cream he wants at Dairy Queen. He probably even buys a Banana Split

    I hope Bush looses in 2012

    How is this possible?

    Obama promised to close Gitmo when campaigning for office.

    One of his first acts as President was announcing it's closure.

    This icecream story must be all wrong.

    Gitmo is closed!!!

    I mean - Gitmo is closed - right?

    After all Obama keeps all of his promises doesn't he?

    No. I wish we had a real liberal in office, but instead we have a wishy-washy centrist. Although, to be fair, Congress hasn't funded a Gitmo closure.

    Actually, if you recall, Obama commissioned a study to advise him on what to do - after he campaigned on closing it.

    Then he said that he would close it by - when last December?

    Then he just let it drop and the willing lap dogs in the lame stream media let him get away with it.

    LOL Obama a centrist????? Kinda hard to find someone more left than Obama but there are a few. Some even post here.

    It's not really a matter of right vs. left but rather statism vs. freedom.

    Obama can be perceived as a "centrist" by virtue of him almost always taking the statist position on any issue as President regardless of the modern designation of right vs. left.

    If the statist position on an issue is "right-wing," he will take it.
    If the statist position on an issue is "left-wing," he will take it.

    His knee-jerk reaction to anything is more government.

    President Obama should immediately order massive shipments of Blue Bell ice cream be sent to these poor souls to be spoon fed to them by Democrats of the Senate and House! It would be a boost to the economy of Brenham, Texas and would provide for a few more contented cows.
