I just completely revamped my web page. I would love some critique/opinion, realizing that I am an absolute amateur!

Hehe. Yeah, I am trying to give people USEFUL links. Spiritually speaking, sending someone to Baptist Board is like giving a dieter a King Size Snickers bar. It might taste good, but its not exactly helping the person towards their goal...:tongue3:

I'm no expert, but to me it seems well laid out, and easy to navigate.

Yes, it is well laid out and very easy to navigate. The only critique I could give it is that the bright blue lettering in some of the windows, e.g., your list of sermons, is difficult to read unless your eyes are focusing just right. I enjoyed perusing the site.

Looks good, but it doesn't look professional. If professional is what you're looking for here's a link to free, professional looking templates that with a basic knowledge of HTML you can tweak to better suit your purposes.

Okay, I like the layout and the colors, but when I click on a tab, I expect that the label on the tab indicates what I will find there, not give me directions on what to click on in order to find the information that I clicked on the tab to find! If the tab says "About Us" then I should click on it and come up with an explanation of who you are, not directions on where to go find what you believe. I moved on to the next tab and found the same thing happened. Instead of the information being filed under the tab, clicking on the tab simply brought up directions on what to click on to go find it.

Unless someone knows you personally, I'm going to bet they won't stay any longer than I did unless those tabs are changed so what you see is what you get.

    I'm using a 3 year old MacBook.

It loaded VERY weird - I got a white box that blinked really fast then it took time to load (over 15 seconds).

I could not scroll through the box on the front page with my fingers (like a scroll wheel). I HAD to use the side slider.

I also didn't like the tabs going to tell me what to click on. That should be either drop down bars or else links right on the page.

The blue on the dark background HURTS!! I find black text on a very light background to be the most simple on the eyes and so that's what I try to use on websites.

Hmm. I just checked them, and they worked. Do you have some sort of a blocker on? They open either external WMV (for sermons) or external PDF (Writings).

Yep. I had a popup blocker on.

    Now they work.
