    Every year we have a Thanksgiving service at church. We do not eat LOL, but rather we give thanks. Everyone gets a chance to stand up and tell the congregation what God has done in their lives.

    I would like to ask my BB brothers and sisters, what are you thankful for this year?

    I thank God and the Lord Jesus Christ for being the great provider. We have been through financial ruin and our marriage nearly fell apart, but God has provided a new home, money and a renewed marriage. He has given me friends and and kept my faith when I was too weak. He has taken care of me in ways that could ONLY be from Him because it was humanly impossible.

    I love Him with all my heart.

    I am thankful for all the usual things family, friends, health (whatever the degree), health of my family and friends.

    Most of all I am thankful that God forgives me when I fail to make Him first in my life. I am so thankful because this allows me to make Him first.

    I am especially thankful for the way I can love my wife, family, friends, neighbors (including those on the BB) when I love Jesus first. I could never love them as much on my own.

    I am thinkful for a good wife, a son and daughter-in-law, and a daughter and son-in-law to walk with me in this journey with Christ through life. Most of all I am thankful for the blood of Christ setting me free.

    That my pipes and wall have been fixed, and to top it all off, they were fixed by a good looking man.

    Praise God!

    Why?

    It should take more than two threads to list all that we are thankful for:thumbs: :praying:

    I Chronicles 16:7 - 36 NKJV

    7 On that day David first delivered this psalm into the hand of Asaph and his brethren, to thank the LORD:

    8 Oh, give thanks to the LORD!
    Call upon His name;
    Make known His deeds among the peoples!

    9 Sing to Him, sing psalms to Him;
    Talk of all His wondrous works!

    10 Glory in His holy name;
    Let the hearts of those rejoice who seek the LORD!

    11 Seek the LORD and His strength;
    Seek His face evermore!

    12 Remember His marvelous works which He has done,
    His wonders, and the judgments of His mouth,

    13 O seed of Israel His servant,
    You children of Jacob, His chosen ones!

    14 He is the LORD our God;
    His judgments are in all the earth.

    15 Remember His covenant forever,
    The word which He commanded, for a thousand generations,

    16 The covenant which He made with Abraham,
    And His oath to Isaac,

    17 And confirmed it to Jacob for a statute,
    To Israel for an everlasting covenant,

    18 Saying, “To you I will give the land of Canaan
    As the allotment of your inheritance,”

    19 When you were few in number,
    Indeed very few, and strangers in it.

    20 When they went from one nation to another,
    And from one kingdom to another people,

    21 He permitted no man to do them wrong;
    Yes, He rebuked kings for their sakes,

    22 Saying, “Do not touch My anointed ones,
    And do My prophets no harm.”

    23 Sing to the LORD, all the earth;
    Proclaim the good news of His salvation from day to day
    .

    24 Declare His glory among the nations,
    His wonders among all peoples.

    25 For the LORD is great and greatly to be praised;
    He is also to be feared above all gods.

    26 For all the gods of the peoples are idols,
    But the LORD made the heavens.

    27 Honor and majesty are before Him;
    Strength and gladness are in His place.

    28 Give to the LORD, O families of the peoples,
    Give to the LORD glory and strength.

    29 Give to the LORD the glory due His name;
    Bring an offering, and come before Him.
    Oh, worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness!

    30 Tremble before Him, all the earth.
    The world also is firmly established,
    It shall not be moved.

    31 Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad;
    And let them say among the nations, “The LORD reigns.”

    32 Let the sea roar, and all its fullness;
    Let the field rejoice, and all that is in it.

    33 Then the trees of the woods shall rejoice before the LORD,
    For He is coming to judge the earth.

    34 Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good!
    For His mercy endures forever.

    35 And say, “Save us, O God of our salvation;
    Gather us together, and deliver us from the Gentiles,
    To give thanks to Your holy name,
    To triumph in Your praise.”

    36 Blessed be the LORD God of Israel
    From everlasting to everlasting![d]

    And all the people said, “Amen!” and praised the LORD.

    I am thankful for the head upon which thorns were thrust upon,
    For the hands which had nails driven in.
    For the "spear thrusted" side,
    For the Death to save me from my sins.

    I am thankful for the nail pierced feet,
    For the timbers which made the cross.
    For the love He showed on Calvary's hill,
    For the love that was bestowed when I was lost.

    I am thankful for the tomb in which He laid,
    For His life which He freely gave.
    For His love which He bestows,
    For His resurrection, when He came out that day!

    I am thankful for the blood He shed,
    For cleansing my soul, which was set free.
    For the death He died, so that I could live,
    For when death comes, I will to heaven flee!!

    I am thankful most of all,
    When He calls my name I shall answer Him!
    In the day "He makes up His Jewels",
    I will be one of His gems!

    Praise to Jesus, to Jesus on High,
    For calling to me when I was lost!
    Praise you Jesus for saving my soul,
    I couldn't pay my debt, you paid the cost!!

    So you see Brothers and Sisters in Christ, I am thankful most of all for the name Jesus Christ!! How sweet that name is!! Is is sweeter than honey! I love Him because He first loved me. I heard someone say this once:"He paid a debt He didn't owe, because I owed a debt I couldn't pay!" How sweet is that??

    May you all have a very Happy Thanksgiving, and may the Father on high bestow upon y'all more Grace, Love, Peace, and Happiness" this year!! I love you all!! This is what it's all about---------->:jesus:

    i am I am's

    Willis

    PS I just wrote this poem off the top of my head!! Praise His sweet name!!

    I am thankful today for your testimony. Thank you for what He did in your life, and that you gave Glory to Him.

    Thanks for sharing. I think that is great.

    I am thankful for God finding me, for giving me the wife I have, for the blessing of a new baby daughter Gabrielle, 10 months old now at this time in our lives, for all of our children, freedom to read God's Word, for family, home, and each thing within it.

    Thanks again Amy.G.
