The doctor discovered a blockage in the front artery of my heart, so I am having a heart cath today. Thank you for praying for me.

I initially thought it was some cool new technology. Brother you are in my prayers.

"May the Lord Our God keep you safe and watch over you in all grace, peace, and joy. And may the Lord grant you healing and strength."

    How'd it go?

Brings back icky memories of my daughter going through a heart cath when she was around 10.

    Hope your time was easier!

Heart cath went fine, as far as the procedure. The bad news is that I have three blockages, two at 85% and one at 95%, and will have bypass surgery this coming Monday, Dec. 13.

Doc says I should be back to my normal routine in about 4 weeks. I will keep you posted on my progress.

    Thanks for the prayers.

Same here. My wife's boss just had a quadruple bypass. I remember years ago this almost being a 50/50 survival from the surgery alone. Today it is almost becoming an outpatient surgery (he was only in the hospital 2 days). Modern medicine is amazing, and you have the best Physician money can't buy :)

Praying the "bad news" will turn into "Good News". My wife had bypass about 15 years ago. After recoup period back to normal routine, with no problems.

Glad to report that I am alive...and somewhat well...on planet Earth! Thanks for all the prayers. The surgery took place on Tuesday, and I came home on Friday morning.

I am doing well. The main issues I am having are soreness in my chest and sleeping constantly. The sleeping is caused by the meds, I am sure.

I thought I had a high tolerance for pain, but I am rethinking that. I don't think I am a whiner, but I assure you I never my life experienced such pain as I did on Wednesday and most of the day Thursday. It would have been a piece of cake if I had simply been sedated for those two days.

Praise God for answering your prayers!

I've heard that's a rough surgery even for those with the highest pain tolerances!

Glad you toughed it out and healing is going on. Sleeping is good! Your body needs SO much more than many people get while healing.
