A little sock of chewy bones and snacks she can rip apart and chew on while we open gifts (on the 26th for us this year). It will keep her occupied and VERY happy while we open our gifts so she won't be trying to get in everyone's face and lap while we open them. I will make sure she does not get all of them at once though. But most of all, the reason is because I LOVE her! :)

I usually do but this year I didn't. We have a bunny and I DID give him a piece of apple and some lettuce yesterday. :)

Any cat I have ever owned has thoroughly enjoyed the torn wrapping paper, wrinkled sacks, and left over bows. It was no different this year with my mother's cat.

But I did buy him a little play toy.

I put no, but that isn't actually true. One of my cats I made come in on Christmas night when it snowed. He didn't want to, but I made him anyway.

I voted no because our pets have Christmas every day of the year. They're not good for anything except to love and to spoil.

Definitely, but she had to wait and get a doggie stocking at the 50% off after Christmas price. LOL

And it was more for us than her. Her Bassenji personality means she has a lot of cat-like behaviors. To watch her lay on her back with a soft toy between her front paws, batting it and biting at it, had us laughing until we were in tears, as did watching her pounce after the tennis ball like thingie.

I've been blessed twice in my life with what I believe have been the world's two funniest pets! (there have been others, but these ones were the best) First I get a cat that thinks she's a dog, 15 years later I get a dog who thinks she's a cat. How does that even happen?!

Do we have to rename the Cal/Arm debate the great Cat/Dog Discussion?

    Because it's Christmas.

For Traveller, I got an Equi-Spirit Ball (it's like a giant soccer ball)

For Wiley and Gidget, I got assorted toys and heated dog beds, since they like to be outside and arthritis is a concern.

I used to have dogs and a cat. I would never dream of not buying them anything for Christmas.
I even used to buy them something for their birthdays and would actually sing to them also.:saint:
