Doctrines of seducing spirits and of devils.

Charismatic doctrine is false doctrine, even if your you know them personally, and they are nice people.

Check out 2 Cor. 11:13-15. They can be so nice and feel so good. Since when has this been determinitive proof they are correct? :)

You can tell them by 2 things:

    1. Demeanor, though not always because it is bad, 2 Peter , Matthew 7 (note how their demeanor is noted as they come to you to present themselves as sheep, like they have to prove they are) and:

    2. Doctrine, 2 Peter, Jude

Very scary. My sister in law is into this stuff (she also says she's a minister) and she thinks I'm the one who is misled.

    It is demonic.

Yea, I spent my junior years exposed to weirdo crud like that. I have been in the front of one of those type churches on multiple occasions with a preacher trying to get me the Holy Ghost.

    It is really disturbing.

It is rampant in my area. Folks here are rather docile but the UPC is very strong here.

I have some good friends who are Assembly of God who tried to get me baptized in the Holy Ghost about a year ago.

The convulsions, the falling on the floor and seizing, the wild noises- that's standard in MANY churches here.

My sister (in the Philippines) described how once she got this urge to pray for her husband (working in Saudi, then) and so she got up and started to pray and was soon praying in a "heavenly tongue" and she felt this cold thing start to creep into her from her feet going up to her head and made her pray all the more.
When I remarked that if that were the Holy Spirit, isn't He from heaven, so why did He come in from your feet, she chased me out of the house and didn't want to speak with me for a long time.

    We're speaking now.
She seems to have gotten over the "trend". lol.

However, our niece, once tried to cast out the demon from our car when it stalled and wouldn't start.
    Of course it wouldn't.
Heavy rains and a flash flood could wet the car's carburetor, right ? (the 70's). hehehehe.

How about trying to raise the dead ?

People need to be aware that the healers and those in this video, and their doctrines (slain, tongues, laughter) go hand in hand. Although they may not employ all, they have an admixture of these doctrines.

    :)

Also, when Jesus said inwardly they are ravenous wolves, was this an indication of possession or ownership of devils?

So if you are baptized with the Holy Ghost, what should the experience be or look like ?

    Hello luke1616

The Baptism of the Holy Ghost, happens at the moment of salvation, when the Holy Spirit comes into us, as earnest of our redemption.

What you are talking about it the filling of the Holy Spirit.
And this happens hundreds, if not thousands of times, in a Christian’s life.

The evidence of this filling with the Spirit, is true holiness, and a true closeness to the Lord.

What is the biblical evidence? Is there any manifestation or physical evidence today? I'm not arguing or doubting you, but anyone could claim they are close to God and claim true holiness. A Buddist can be kind and loving and giving to others.

You already know what it is.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. - Galatians 5:22-23

Not a thing there about healing, slain in the spirit, dreams, laughter, signs, wonders, nothing.

This in itself, manifested in depraved man, is itself a miracle.

If people want more, signs can assuredly come. :) God will even allow it to happen.

I just saw a video where a woman prayed God would send her a sign. Now she has rainbows appearing in her house. She is so excited. It proves nothing and is rather scary. They actually showed these rainbows.

The healer, miracle working, signs and wonders charismatic narrator said "this is proof that this woman now has a covenant with God." Oh isn't that special.

I choose to believe the Bible, and by the way, this is no proof, it is against Scripture.

I don't agree with the video, and there are many false ones out there making a show of it. But I will NEVER apoligize for holding a young deaf girl's ears and praying for her. She can hear now, and it was ALL JESUS! I did not give my name, and did not ask them to follow me, I gave them the Jesus in me. I do not care if you do not believe this, it does not change the FACT that it happened. You can try to convince me ALL DAY that it was not God, it will not work. God bless you and your unbelief.

Tell you what, bless you for calling me an unbeliever in your snide way. Whatever words you put in my mouth are because your conscience made you personally feel guilt about a specific healing.

I never said God doesn't heal. You made that all up on your own.

    :)

    Hello luke1616

Sorry I missed your last response, I was away.

    You asked.......
Here you ask two contradictory questions; You ask for biblical evidence, then you ask for physical evidence.
And you also say, that “anyone could claim they are close to God”, then talk about a Buddhist.

We know, that regardless of what a Buddhist is able to do, HE IS NOT CLOSE TO GOD. Because he rejects Christ.
    --------------------------------------------------
Yes, anyone can say or do anything, but that does not mean a thing..........
    Matthew 7:21-23
V.21 ¶ Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
V.22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
V.23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

    --------------------------------------------------
Although the Bible does talk about “proving” that we are close to God..........
    James 2:14
“What [doth it] profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?”

Yet Jesus warns us over and over again, that “signs”, are not to be trusted........
    Matthew 12:38-39
V.38 ¶ Then certain of the scribes and of the Pharisees answered, saying, Master, we would see a sign from thee.
V.39 But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas:

    --------------------------------------------------
As for your experience with that little girl; Praise the Lord.
But.........do you KNOW for sure, that she was deaf?
Your answer has to be NO.

I am not casting doubt, that God is able to heal anyone(I have seen his hand in my life and others many times), but nothing that I have seen, lends credence to the things done in this video.
    --------------------------------------------------
My advice to you, is to be careful about what you believe.

Believe the Bible with all your heart, but question EVERYTHING man says or does.

The girl used sign language, was in special classes, had a speech coach, read lips, was scheduled to have hearing aids when she got older, and failed hearing tests every time she took one. Yes, I know she was deaf.

It will look like witnessing- period.

It does not have a thing to do with convulsions.

Acts 1:8- They would be filled with power and become WITNESSES. They would have a supernatural ability to communicate the Gospel of Christ.
