Here are some phrases I hope to never hear again from this year forward:

    1. "I made a mistake and I apologize." Ya didn't make a mistake, you KNEW you were doing wrong! A mistake is an accident, and accidents generally don't repeat themselves over and over until the person gets caught!

    2. "Let's agree to disagree."
If you both know you're disagreeing, what's the point? LOL Just to quit talking about it? What good will that do since only one person can be right?

    3. "I'll try harder next time."
Why didn't you just do your best in the first place, and why are you admitting you didn't? Until you said that, I had no clue you were being a slacker!

    4. "Obama is President."
    Can we please change that?

    5. "Rush is an idiot."
No he's not. He's smart enough to be all in your face and making money doing it. The proper phrase is "Rush is wrong."

    6. "You need to be more tolerant."
Excuse me? Are you being intolerant of my viewpoint?!

    7. "Why do Christians claim they're becoming oppressed when they make up 80% of Americans?"

Because the more our beliefs and words are suppressed by intolerant people, the more we become oppressed. We don't like where this is heading, although we like where we're heading and we'd like to share that with you!

    8. "I could just as easily believe in the flying spaghetti monster!"
This is a phrase loved and cherished by what I term "internet atheists." I was ashamed to hear my own brother say it. It's the catch-phrase of atheists and none can go much further in a debate than that when arguing with an "ignorant Christian." Kinda irony!

    Got any of yours?

"Honestly, I... or ...to be honest, I..."
What? You're not usually honest with me?! If you're wanting to be "frank" go right on ahead, but I hope you are always honest with me.

Honestly, tell the truth, you copied all that just to say that? You don't say!

    Shaking head,

Really annoying phrases? How about, "I hate to say this, but........." Obviously you do not hate to say it. In general, I deplore false disclaimers. Besides that one, there is "I'm not one for carrying tales, but...." and "Not to make excuses, but...." Some of those "buts" need kicking.

The reason we say "honestly" is because if we say we're frank, someone will ALWAYS retort with something like "I thought you were Gina!"

Then laugh like nobody has ever, ever said it. Ever. At all.

    "I feel your pain."

    "I'm sorry for your loss."

Some say that Job's three friends were wrong to sit for three days without saying anything. I say they should have kept their mouths shut.
