. . . this time in Arizona! Just as the devil did at Fort Hood, he has once again influenced one of his earthly spawns, and the life's of six individuals were taken at the hands of evil!

Similar to the rampage of a demon possessed gunmen at Virginia Tech and Fort Hood; the smell of gun powder and burnt flesh have joined to spill the innocent blood of people who are not accustomed to such violence.

And, as devastating as this senseless, murderous, rampage was, it looks as though it will not be the last, unless this nation has an honest-to-goodness heart felt revival. The people of this once proud nation need to fall on their knees, repent and return to the God of creation, because we are standing at the edge of reaping the results of turning away from God. :tear:

I went on-line and pulled up photos of these three mass murderer's and while looking into their faces, I could clearly see the essence of evil staring back at me through the cold, yet calculating eyes of Cho Seung-Hui, Major Malik Nadal Hasan, and Jared Lee Loughner, I saw nothing but evil smirks, smugness and unremorseful hearts.

This nation needs a revival of sweeping proportions, but, saying it, and seeing it happen are about as far apart as the East is from the West.

All I can honestly hope, pray and long for is the immediate return of Jesus.

Of course, the above is just my opinion, and there will be those who disagree with my assessment. Therefore, may His peace draw close to the hearts and souls of each family member, friend and acquaintance of those who were gunned down, and may He miraculously heals Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-Ariz.). :flower: I know we can all agree on this part of my post!

    Shalom,

    Pastor Paul :type:

There could be a demonic presence behind these killers, but it could also be purely from the evil of their own hearts. Scripture describes our flesh as wicked, evil, inhabiting no good thing, at enmity with God, etc.. So, they could be the result of demonic oppression/possession, or they could be examples of any man without moral, intellectual, or spiritual constraints. Many have form of godliness while denying the power thereof. These have the essence of evil & have embraced it.

    Very Good Point

I couldn't agree with you more. My post is but one view of what may have caused these men to take the life's of many innocent folks.

Thanks for your view! And Welcome to the BB!!!!

    Shalom,

    Pastor Paul

I have to agree with Michael. Just because someone does evil does not constitute that satan is in them. Fallen man has a propensity to do some very evil things without any prodding from satan. The reverse would be to make the claim that when someone did a very good deed that God must be in them, but we know that this too is not always the case. Our ability to do good and evil from a human perspective is wide ranged. I would add that what I have said does not rule out some demonic possession, but without clear evidence I would not jump the gun and point in that direction since man is evil enough to do the things that he does totally on his own.

I disagree with this. I believe there is always prodding, tempting, and deceiving from Satan to do evil. That is why we are told repeatedly throughout scripture to avoid evil, put on the full armor of God, flee from the Devil, use God's word as a weapon against him.....ect.

Adam and Eve did not sin until the Devil tempted them. Satan deceived Eve because he is a liar and the "father of it". He roams about like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour. When we reject God, we are like an open door to allow evil in.

Having said that, we and we alone are responsible to God for our sin, because there is always a choice to obey God or obey Satan. God always provides a way of escape.

These people who do horrible evil acts like the Arizona shooter are at the very least oppressed by and highly influenced by Satan.

Amy during the millennium rule of the Lord the devil will be bound and evil will still be here without any prodding by satan. That is clear proof that we need no one to push us to sin.

We know he is evil by what he did, not what he looks like in a mug shot.In fact basing such opinions is sin according to scripture. I would not put a lot of stock in a photo. When those things are taken many times some smart mouth deputy try's to get the person to make a face or smile for the camera. You would be surprised at what goes on inside a police booking station.

    Bolded mine

    Correct!

Just like you do not have to teach a baby-toddler-child-youngster-adult to be self-centered, selfish, lying, greedy, etc, etc!

It's just the way we are NATURALLY, and why Christ had to do what He did - since no natural born human could fulfill the requirements of God for our salvation!!!

That's not the way I understand it. Evil will return in the MK when Satan is released for a short time.

But it's not a hill I would die on. :)

Amy if you check out the OT you will see that some of the people do not all worship the Lord during the 1000 years. In fact some will die as a child because of their sin. It speaks of dying at 100 as a child.
Look at Mic. 4:3, Isa 2:4,
Also there will be sin offerings during the rule of Christ and that is because of sin. What God is doing is trying to show man that satan did not make man sin. We are as evil as satan in our actions. For now satan can encourage us to sin, but we sin because we are sinful and those in the 1000 year rule will still be sinful. The sin nature of man is not eradicated because of the millennium kingdom.

I just read that Westboro Baptist Church is going to picket at the funeral of the 9 year old girl that was killed in that shooting.

Sooner or later, someone is not going to care whether they get the chair or not. They will open fire on those ungodly protesters.

    Their hatred reveals their ungodliness.

Here is a link where you can read about the picket and what the town is planning to do about it.

I was not saying it would be right for someone to open fire on WBC, I merely said sooner or later, it will happen.

Come on everyone here knows that it wasn't Satan. It was Sarah Palin and her little dog "Rush" that caused the great tragedy.

Even if you are joking slander is not of the Lord.

Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks.
Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers

You need to get a sense of humor and quit acting like the sheriff of appropriateness. That or get a job as moderator.

I didn't know Sara Palin named here dog Rush? Poor dog, I wouldn't wish that name on anyone or thing!

Freeatlast you need to loosen your shoe laces. You are cutting off you the blood to your sense of humor. Maybe you should move over to www.loosenup.com.

    Wow.

Talk about making a mountain out of a mole hill.

He's evil, and his mug shot fits the bill.

    Not a big deal.
