Someone said something that got my curiosity going I really would like see what kind of response would be given. It might be a good thread, even if I am placing it on here on the BB.

God being placed in a regular body and a new birth of a soul just like ours before the fall, being born from a virgin and given a life to Himself. What would that do or is it not plausible and why and how do you see it?

Not sure what you are asking, Psalms 109:31.

Here is what I think you are asking:
    1. When Christ came to earth, was it God coming in a body just like ours?

    2. Did He need a new birth of soul?

    3. Did God give life to Himself?
If that is what you meant, I would answer:
    1. Yes

    2. No. We need new birth because we are sinners. He is not a sinner.

    3. If you mean physical life, I would answer yes, because as Hebrews 10.5 says:
Therefore, when He came into the world, He said: "Sacrifice and offering You did not desire, But a body You have prepared for Me."
But if you mean spiritual life, the answer is no, because Christ's existence didn't begin with His birth at Bethlehem. He prayed to His Father in John 17.5:
"And now, O Father, glorify Me together with Yourself, with the glory which I had with You before the world was."
If you didn't mean what I've suggested, could you explain what you did mean please? Thanks!

Ummmmmm, lemme take a stab at this one.......

If I misrepresent you in any way, Brother, let me know and I will apologize to you. I believe why God sent His Son here was to die for us. For Him to be able to die, He had to have a fleshly body, because His spiritual body wasn't able to taste death. By Him taking this fleshly body, He was tempted the very same way(s) we are, but He didn't have a sin nature, as some have purported on here.

He had to take this body to be the sacrificial Lamb to appease the wrath of God concerning sin.

Exo. 12:3 Speak ye unto all the congregation of Israel, saying, In the tenth day of this month they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to the house of their fathers, a lamb for an house:

4 And if the household be too little for the lamb, let him and his neighbour next unto his house take it according to the number of the souls; every man according to his eating shall make your count for the lamb.

5 Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year: ye shall take it out from the sheep, or from the goats:

6 And ye shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same month: and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening.

7 And they shall take of the blood, and strike it on the two side posts and on the upper door post of the houses, wherein they shall eat it.

12 For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the LORD.

13 And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.

So, by Jesus taking on this fleshly body, He was able to bear our sins in His flesh, and take them and nail them to the cross, and condemn sin in the flesh. By doing this, He appeased God's wrath concerning sin. Does this answer you question(s)?? If not, let me know, and I will try to do better!!

    i am I AM's!!

The original post is what I am asking for those who can understand what I am saying. I will change some of David Lamb questions and add some you can answer them to.

    1. When Christ came to earth, was it God coming in a body just like ours before the fall?

    2. Was Jesus given a new soul at the His conception, I agree He didn't need to be reborn?

    3. Did God give Jesus a life to Himself this new Adam a life to Himself?

    4. Did this soul and body needed to be taught?

    4. Did this soul and body not revealed everything?

    You are doing wonderful convicted1

    Sunday School

There was this couple in Sunday school. The women with what the Sunday School class teacher said, she said that Jesus hasn't been revealed everything like His return and the class looked at her with a blank face and the husband nudged her as if to say don't go any further with this.

Isn't the greatest meat of all that should make our mouth water is know Christ and Him Crucified?

This one is a "toughie" to answer. My response is just that, "my response". Someone may be able to better expound on what I am about to write. I believe that Jesus' body was like ours, in that He felt pain when they beat Him, and felt the pain of them plucking His beard from His face, and the pain of the nails/spikes going into His hands and feet. So I believe His fleshly body was like ours post fall. I kinda think that Adam and Eve didn't experience pain until after they ate of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. That being said, it is merely speculation on my part concerning this.

No, I believe that the "soul" Jesus had was His Spiritual body(the one He has while He is in heaven), being "framed" in a fleshly body. Scriptual proof:

Heb. 10:5 Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me:

Jesus didn't need a new soul, just a fleshly body to place His Spiritual body in, IMHO.

I don't think so, but I really don't understand the question entirely. Jesus has always been with the Father, being a triune God. Scriptual proof:

John 17:5 And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.

I see this following verse and I think He needed taught:

    Heb. 5:8 Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;

But then I read this passage and I think He didn't need to be taught:

Luke 2:46 And it came to pass, that after three days they found him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the doctors, both hearing them, and asking them questions.

47 And all that heard him were astonished at his understanding and answers.

48 And when they saw him, they were amazed: and his mother said unto him, Son, why hast thou thus dealt with us? behold, thy father and I have sought thee sorrowing.

49 And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father's business?

So, in this instance, Jesus was 12 years old, and He knew He had to be about His Father's business. So in weighing the two scriptures against one another(Heb. 5:8 & Luke 2:49), I'd have to say that He didn't need to be taught. However, someone smarter than I might be able to prove me wrong. I am not dogmatic about this....I just believe He knew who He was the whole time(even from infancy) who He was/is.

Yes, His soul and body revealed everything. Jesus told those who believed, as well as those who failed to believe, the truth. The rich young ruler who asked Jesus how to be saved, walked away, eventhough He told him what he must do. So He revealed everything that He was supposed to do. He also accomplished what He was sent here to do.....to make THE WAY possible for us Gentiles to have access to the Throne of Grace!! Jesus was/is THE WAY, but by His death, burial, and resurrection, He made THE WAY accessible for us, and also appeased God's wrath concerning sin.

John 19:30 When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.

I believe that Jesus' saying, "it is finished", has a twofold meaning. He finished the Mosiacal(sp?) Law(OT Law), and also finished the plan of salvation.

2 Cor. 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

Right here is shows that we are in Him, and not apart from Him. We are chosen in Him from the foundation of the world!! Jesus paid for all the sins of all the world, but only those who choose to believe, will receive salvation.

If you need anything clarified, I will try to do better, Brother Psalms109:31!!

On a first reading, I agree with your responses, Willis, and I also wasn't sure what Psalms meant by:
    3. Did God give Jesus a life to Himself this new Adam a life to Himself?
Like you, I believe that Jesus is God, and therefore eternal.

    Body, Soul, and Spirit

I believe that The Spirit of God was put into a body and a soul that the body God prepared for Him in the womb of Mary. Gave Him a life to Himself. The devil wasn't tempting the Spirit, but the soul, the one who suffered was His soul and body.

Why, because if the soul and body has always been like the Spirit that was in Him, then it wouldn't need to be taught, it would of been revealed everything that was known by the Spirit that was in Him because it would of already known.

When Jesus returned to the Father He is no longer bound by a created time, just like we are not when we go to heaven.

    Mark 13:32
[ The Day and Hour Unknown ] “But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.

Hebrews 5: 7 During the days of Jesus’ life on earth, he offered up prayers and petitions with fervent cries and tears to the one who could save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverent submission. 8 Son though he was, he learned obedience from what he suffered 9 and, once made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him

    John 15:15
I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.

    John 5:26
For as the Father has life in himself, so he has granted the Son also to have life in himself.

What is this life to Himself mean to you?

I heard many things of what the Body ,soul, and spirit it is and it hasn't satisfied my hunger to know. The body is easy.

What I do know is God is saving our soul.

    1 Peter 1:9
for you are receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls.

The Spirit of Jesus has no beginning or end.
