10 The inhabitants of the earth will gloat over them and will celebrate by sending each other gifts, because these two prophets had tormented those who live on the earth.

With the emergence of social media, can this prophecy be one that will take place using it? There are many gifts given back and forth on facebook for various games and apps...and it got me to thinking the antichrist or someone he associates with could very well design an app or game on facebook where gifts could be given due to the death of the two witnesses...an "event" in facebook terms.

Has anyone considered this gift giving (and the gazing on their dead bodies part) could be virtual and not literal?

There are probably a number of things in the apocalyptic Revelation that will require the capabilities that now exist in our world. All the world "seeing" events is but one. The nature of the weapons, the gifts, the issues surrounding buying and selling, etc., all point to current or slightly future technological advances. With CNN now covering almost every corner of the globe, we WATCH wars happen from our living rooms. Cameras are on the beach when the soldiers wade ashore and the missiles hit. The night we began combat operations in Iraq was utterly incredulous!

It's exciting. I received "gift requests" from various games on my facebook, and that got me to thinking anyone can give a "gift" to another person anywhere in the world.
